Vehicle Detail
For sale I have a Nice 1971 Chevy Impala Custom. This is the one with the rear window that bows in. Unfortunatly it is that nasty green in color. The interrior is green too. The motor is a standard 350 small block 4 bolt main with a mild street cam. The motor is bored .30 over with a high pressure oil pump and a power crank. The motor was rated at 425 horsepower. Most to all other things are new including alternator, voltage regulator, water pump, master cylinder, 4bbl 650 edelbrock carb, power steering lines and pump, all hoses, spark plug wires, spark plugs, oil pan, fuel pump, etc. The trans is an automatic 350 turbo hydromatic with a stage 2 shift kit. It's hooked up to a 1800rpm stall converter and to a stock drive shaft and stock rearend with single tire fire. The body is cancer free above and below. The gas tank has been replaced with another stock tank and yes the guage now works. Everything works on the car, lights wipers, guages, etc. The floor pans are solid and the trunk is solid also. The mileage on the motor is less than 100 miles. For me, the car needs a good sanding, paint, springs and I was going to change the interrior, carpet and all. The car has brand new tires all the way around and new brakes also. Any questions email me at a71impala71@yahoo.com On Aug-10-11 at 20:07:41 PDT, seller added the following information: There has been many questions about the car. I'm a truck driver so I'm out of town alot. I will try to answer these now. First, The car has full skirts on it over the back tires, unlike the picture shows. It also has dual Heddman Headers that go to some flex pipe to dual performance mufflers that gives it a nice throaty sound. The exhaust ends there. Just before the rear axle. The leaks on the car are the moon gasket under the timing cover. Because of the high pressure oil pump i've had a hard time getting it to seal. Then the fan kicks some oil onto the wheel wells. Constantly cleaning the motor. Then the trans filler tube "O' ring leaks because I put a Chrome Deep well pan on it and the ring won't seal. There is a new oil pan on the motor also. I have driven the car around the neighborhood and had it up to 90 mph. The motor is new and it needs a break in period. The motor I bought from a friend that had a 69 Chevelle that the motor was built for. He had an accident and had to sell every thing. I bought the motor, HP racing trans, and the rear end. Right now I have the motor bolted right to the frame. There are no rubber motor mounts. The engine doesn't move on acceleration. The inside of the car I think is the worst. I hate the green color and it has that old car musky smell. The front and rear windows leaked but I Sealed them. This is a family project car that my entire family worked on. I will miss it. Good Luck!!
