Vehicle Detail

I was saving this FZJ80 to build a big, cheap Moab off road cruiser with lockers. Although its not the prettiest, it always starts right up, runs well, steers, shifts, tracks and stops great. The gauges all read as they should, never gets warm, has very cold air conditioning, great oil pressure, the lockers work as they should, engine makes very good power for 200K miles at this altitude with the big tires. I had the interior professionally cleaned, except for the front buckets it's decent for its age. Though far from perfect, this car was adult owned before I got it, is a good old reliable, rattle free cruiser, I would drive it anywhere without concern. Some good stuff: 4.5 liter EFI 6 cylinder, automatic transmission, leather, power everything, sunroof, 3rd row seating for 7. It has a K&N air cleaner, class III hitch, very good Yokohama radial AT tires on factory alloy wheels, roof rack and a really big, heavy duty steel bull bar up front. This Landcruiser has working factory electric lockers front and rear. The not so good stuff: Though in good shape mechanically, this is a 202K mile 20 year old 4x4 Colorado vehicle and has it's share of too be expected issues, cosmetic flaws, chips, scratches, etc. Needs some seat covers up front, there are tears in the front seat bottoms(see picture) The body is super straight (and rust free) but the paint is crap, it has suffered a lot of high altitude UV exposure (the hood is faded the worst) and peeling (see pictures) There are a couple very small chips (no cracks) in the glass the windshield. The power controls on the front bucket seats need attention, sort of work on the drivers side and not at all on the passenger side. When in 4x4 with the wheel cranked all the way over on a dirt road there is some clicking which makes me think the CV joints need work. There are some "standard" Landcruiser oil leaks under the hood (see picture) Please email or call with questions and Ill answer them as honestly as possible. bozwell13@hotmail.com cell 602 435 2110 Jim
