The 1950 Studebaker has always been an iconic car, mostly due to its outrageous front end that resembled a WW2 airplane. These cars have been popular with both hot rodders and restorers for decades. As time marches on, it is more and more difficult to find an affordable Studebaker to restore. Convertible Studebakers are even more highly coveted as they are both rarer and much more valuable. What I have for sale here is a very original 1950 Studebaker Champion convertible. Now, this is NOT a chop top roadster but a factory convertible. It is quite complete and has sat for many years. It has the original flathead engine and drivetrain, the rare factory convertible top frame, bumper, convertible seat frames, original untouched dash and steering wheel. It needs a complete restoration and has sat for many years. It needs new floorpans throughout. It needs metal work on the lower body such as the rockers. The body itself is fairly straight and it doesn't have any major body damage such as large dents, etc. It is 95% complete but is missing some trim such as lights, grill, etc. The nose grill shown is for a 51 model and is included in the auction. All of these parts are fairly easy to find on parts cars. All the hard to find convertible only parts are here. The trunk lid has been unbolted but is in good condition. It will be strapped down well for transport. I have an extra convertible front and rear convertible frame header that I will include with the buy it now price.
