Vehicle Detail
I was getting ready to sell my F350 Crew Cab (4-door) XLT short bed (6 3/4 foot) 6.0 litre turbo diesel, as I rarely used it. It sat unused for one month, and the next time I had to use it, the transmission gave me trouble. I believe that the VSS is at fault - the truck shifts fine right up until it hits operating temperature (about 10 to 15 minutes), then it starts hesitating between gears and finally not wanting to shift at all. I had the transmission flushed and cleaned, but that did not make any difference ($450 down the drain). The transmission is a 5-speed automatic. There is some surface rust starting to come through on the inside bottoms of the doors, and a couple small spots around the rear fender extensions, but the truck still looks great. The frame has some rust on it from sitting around, but no rot. I just found the passenger's side front tire (that has less than 500 miles on it) to be completely flat when I went to take pictures of the truck at my warehouse. The cause: I picked up a 1/8" bolt somehow in the middle of the tread. The only other problem with the truck is that the passenger's side auto-locking hub died - I didn't have $600 for a new one, so a manual hub was put in. It works fine as long as you lock it in by hand. Last winter I pulled my friend's car off of a road-side birm (UPHILL) back on to the road (ON ICE) with no problem - this truck just goes wherever you point it. I am offering the truck up for sale, AS-IS, no warranties or guaranties or anything. If you have any questions, ask before you bid. You can not drive this truck home (well, you can try but good luck). That is all the bad news about the truck. I bought it used from Oneonta Ford (then Karns Ford) in 2006 with about 92,000 miles for $28,000. It now has 122,000 miles. Within the first year I owned it, 7 of the 8 injectors were replaced along with the alternator. The truck runs perfectly, the interior is not beat up, there are no cuts or tears in the seats. The back seats look like new (except for where someone got in to it with wet paint on their clothes) . All to accessories (except the A/C - see below) work fine. There are no shakes or shimmies going down the road. The factory options are as follows: Leather seats (reclining buckets up front) Power driver's seat, windows, lock, and pedals Power sunroof Tilt steering and cruise A/C (someone stole the factory driving lights off the truck and in the process put two holes in the AC condenser - I put a new condenser in, but it needs to be recharged (I think a fitting needs to be tightened) Folding rear seats with recline Factory AM/FM/CD Player Aluminum 5-Spoke Rims Heavy-Duty (Class 5?) Hitch Sliding Rear Window (both truck and cap have them) Bed Liner Running Boards The following items have been installed: (2) new Exide Nascar Extreme batteries, last year New exhaust manifold gasket on the turbo side 2 years ago HID Headlights (the real ones with ballasts, not some colored halogen junk) - kit cost around $600 AFE (Air Flo Enginering) Statge II Air Intake (K&N Style Filter + Airbox (deleted factory ~24" pleated filter) - about $350 AFE Turbo-back 3" Stainless Exhaust with catalytic convert delete (also known as a test pipe) - about $1200 + installation. ARE Utility Cap color matched to the truck. Has lights in all compartments plus bed lights. All locks work, I have the keys. 1500W AC Inverter hard-wired into cab Vent-Visors on all 4 windows Tires are all Cooper ATR's and have at least 90% tread left. Electric Brake Controller Unit I have the original cat and air box that go with the truck (see pics of the bed). The Kelly Blue Book Value is $22,380 in Good Condition - the truck would probably classify as good, except for the transmission. Just call or email with any questions. If you want me to ship vehicles to Nigeria, don't bother wasting your time or mine. I REQUIRE A $1000 DOWNPAYMENT THROUGH PAYPAL WITHIN 24 HOURS THAT WILL NOT BE REFUNDED FOR ANY REASON. DON'T BID IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY. DON'T WASTE MY TIME OR YOURS. BALANCE DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS. AFTER THAT YOU CAN TAKE UP TO 2 MONTHS TO COME PICK THE TRUCK UP.On Aug-16-11 at 21:49:10 PDT, seller added the following information: One more thing - the registration expired at the end of July, so I took the truck off the road then. I couldn't see any point in paying $150 for a registration for a vehicle I couldn't drive. On Aug-19-11 at 13:10:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Another additional note: my employee told me that he just looked at the tire and he only saw a roofing nail, not a bolt (maybe I'm crazy and / or blind). He is going to be putting a plug in the tire tomorrow morning, I'll post the results when he does it.On Aug-20-11 at 13:39:52 PDT, seller added the following information: Another update - it was indeed a roofing nail that was in the tire, and my employee removed the nail and plugged the hole (lol). He tested the fix with water around the plug and found no air escaping the tire. So at this point all 6 tires are filled to 60lbs and not leaking. I had another question about driving the the truck on to a flatbed to transport. As far as I can tell, the truck will go anywhere you want it to for about 10-15 minutes, until the tranny gets up to operating temp. Then you're guess is as good as mine.
