Vehicle Detail

Hi, for sale is my 1992 Camaro. This car has been a project of my father and I for about the last two years, and I do consider it a success. However the time has come that I must now sell it. About the car : I bought the car two years ago out of North Carolina. I actually won it on ebay and made the drive to go get it. The only reason I wanted this particular one is due to its rareity. The car has a 5-speed T5 transmission, t-tops, power everything, driver side air bag, cruise control, the body kit that came with the late 90's models, and an installed crate 350. I can pretty much guarantee that there isn't another third generation camaro on ebay that has everything I just mentioned. The car has just over 100,000 miles on it, which I and the previous owner believe to be the true mileage. I have not ran a car-fax so I cannot say for sure. The previous owner, like myself, bought it for its rareity from an old couple who also lived in NC. Sense owning the car and putting the work in to it, it has always been an occasianal driver, while my other 2002 camaro was my daily driver. However that isn't to say that the 92 camaro is unreliable, as it has had majority of its parts replaced with brand new, top quality ones as I will list below. Installed Parts : (Please note that I will be making reference to the warranties of the parts so that you, the buyer, are aware of the quality. However warranties do not transfer from owner to owner. Also, nearly all reciepts for the parts can be acquired upon purchase if necessary.) New LT1 Starter - Lifetime Warranty New Alternator - Lifetime New Radiator - Lifetime New Water Pump - Lifetime New Clutch Master Cylinder - Lifetime New Clutch Slave Cylinder - Lifetime New Sach's Heavy Duty Clutch Set - Lifetime New Omaha Orange Paint Job (acrlyic urethane w/ clear) New Ignition Module - 1 year Crate 4-bolt main 350 from Oreilly Auto Parts - 3 year unlimited mileage warranty New ABS headliner, sunvisors, sail panels ($300) - Lifetime Two 6x9 Pyramid speakers TFT CD/DVD Player (7-inch fold out display) Upgraded H4 headlight system Jegs open element housing & filter Accell 8mm performance spark plug wires ACDelco spark plugs Accel Distributor cap & rotor button MSD ignition coil MSD 6A performance box New fuel filter Flowmaster 80-series Aftermarket shorty headers Hypertech performance chip Z28 billet metal shift knob White guage overlay New Driver & Passenger side window motors - Lifetime Painted to match three guage pillar pod, w/ blue LED guages included Smog pump has been removed Dash cover (carpet overlay) All lenses, minus the tailights, are new. (headlights, cornering lenses, etc.) Billet aftermarket grille. All new hoses & belts. (Gates - 1 year warranty) 160 degree hypertech perfomance thermostat Chrome water outlet New trunk strut supports. Chrome master cylinder cover Optima Red Series Performance battery (dual post) Video of car running Things to know about the car : Majority of the things that I will list here are small things as there are only a two things on the car that does not work. The first thing that does not work is the cruise control. It actually worked up until two weeks ago and I cannot seem to figure out why it went out. It is vacuum controlled and all of the vacuum lines checked good, so it is probably in the switch or the valve (if you're interested in fixing it). The second is the power trunk release. The switch appears to be bad on it so you have to use the key to open the trunk. The motor that pulls down that hatch for you is still operational. The car has COLD A/C, warm heater, power windows, power locks, adjustable steering wheel, and a driver side airbag. Moving on to the small stuff that I think you'd like to know.. I've installed blue LED's inside of the car. They are located inside of the vents (giving them a blue glow), inside the door jamb vents, inside the aftermarket gauges, and also inside of the factory gauge cluster as shown in the pictures. These blue LEDs are controlable via the headlight dimmer switch. The headlight system was upgraded to an H4 system (no longer sealed beams, bulbs are replaceable). This makes the headlights operate differently from normal, instead of having an optional highbeam, the outisde lights are always on (regular low beams) and the inside lights (old high beams) are ALSO always on, but are dimmed. I'll try to include a picture, but it makes for decent visibility and I haven't had a single person flash there high beams at me, so I believe the mod to be a good one. The original dash pad is cracked and instead of replacing it I simply put a carpet mat over it. The DVD player is kind of touchy, but is fully operational. It has new sunvisors/headliner/speaker covers. Some of the guages inside of the guage cluster no longer work. Those consist of the oil pressure and water temperature. In regards to this is why I installed the three guages on the pillar, which consist of a volt guage, oil pressure, and water temperature. So all in all, you have all the required guages. Also, the speedometer seems to get hung up every once in a while, but I'd say it works 70% of the time, and even after getting hung up it is likely to fix itself while your driving. The car was originally an RS but after installing a 350 and getting a paint job I decided to put IROC-Z emblems on it. The car has an oem throttle body on it w/ 350 injectors. My father and I performed ALL the work done, minus the paint job. I attempted to install Limo tint on the rear glass. This was a horrible job and I don't recommend doing it yourself lol, needless to say it turned out fairly bad and the buyer will probably want to get it stripped off, which usually costs about $60 to get a tint shop to do it. There are also scratches in the tint in the driver & passenger windows, so if your interested in tint you may just want to get the entire car re-done. Also if you get very close to the car you can notice some sanding scratches from the paint job, but this is only noticeable in a couple of spots and like I said, you have to very close to see them. The interior of the car is very clean and the window/t-top moldings are also in good condition. Like all t-top camaro's it has a small leak around the t-top area but suprisingly it leaks less than my 2002' model did. The car is extremely powerful, but in building it our goal was to also keep it reliable (which is why there are no engine mods such as a camshaft). I have not had it on a Dyno so I cannot say the horsepower rating for certain, however when adding up the horsepower based off of the engine and the after market parts I get around 320hp. It has GREAT throttle response due to the MSD upgrades. It has disc brakes on the front and drums on the rear. The car has a slight exhaust rattle as you can hear in the video, it really only does it at an idle. We've never taken it to a drag strip and as I said we only drive it occasianlly. The car recieves a great number of compliments on any day that I drive it. When I bought the car I put three brand new tires on it. At this point they have about 80% tread life left, while the one that I did not replace has about 40%. The motor has had three oil changes done sense the motor has been put in. I change it every 3000 miles using only Castrol 20-50. The emergency brake works, but will not hold the car on a hill, so I usually just leave it in gear so that I do not have to rely on the e-brake. Why am I selling the car? : I am a junior at the University of South Alabama for electrical engineering. I had this 1992 camaro as a fun car and a 2002 camaro as a primary driver. Last month, the headgasket blew in my 2002 camaro and we ended up getting rid of it and getting a new 2010 synergy green camaro. In order to finance this new camaro, I have no choice but to sell the 92' model. This 1992 Camaro was, for many years, my dream car. While some people desire Mercedez or Ferrari, my most desired car was a third generation camaro, built just the way I wanted it. That's exactly what this car is. I hate to see it go but I do hope that it goes to a good home, if you have any questions just email me and if you would like to talk over the phone please email me first and I will gladly give you my phone number. Payment: I will accept a cashiers check or if you plan to pick the car up in person cash will be just as good. . UPON WINNING THE AUCTION A $500 DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED VIA PAYPAL. The $500 deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. Bidding: SERIOUS bidders ONLY. I don't have the time to continously re-list the car, so I am listing it with NO RESERVE. Let me remind you that if you are the winner of this auction then you have entered a legally binding contract and if you do not follow through with the sale you may be prosecuted. Shipping: All shipping will be handled ON THE BUYERS END. If you wish to have it shipped then you are responsible for finding a shipping company and having them pick the car up. The motor is about ten months old, I bought it new from Oreilly with a three year unlimited mileage warranty. I purchased it as a long block (valve covers, timing cover pre-attached & sealed). At this point the new motor has about 7000 miles on it. It is a 4 bolt main 350. Thanks.
