RARE 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon 2D Coupe "Wedgeback" Average Value of $8,250.00 Original: 52,314 miles It has everything original, including a working A/C system (with rear defrost), AM/FM stereo (yes it's 8-TRACK too), etc. Strong running 260/105 HP V8 engine. The car needs some cosmetics, for example the front grille (the only part of the body made of fiberglass) needs replacement, the "energy absorbers " the things that the bumper is bolted in the front and rear bumper need some adjusting, mechanically only needs the water seals replaced on the engine, the cost of each seal is a couple of bucks for each seal, plus the labor, but overall it's in fine shape. Runs very smooth, strong pickup. Just fill up the "BIG TANK" and go. The leather on the back and passenger seat are in excellent shape, and though the driver's seat has a tear in it, it is still in very good condition. The power locks/windows/seat/mirrors are all in working condition. Tilt and power steering are in standard working order. I am the second owner on record. Original owner was your typical old gentleman that only drove it to store and church, and kept under carport for about 29 years (was purchased through church, and then transferred into his name in 1983). In 2009, sadly the gentleman passed away, I bought the vehicle with hopes of restoring it, but my new job and storing space restrains me from having the time. I have put a few city/hwy miles on it since I bought it a couple of years ago. Oldsmobile made only 1,200 of this model, and there are only 19 registered in the entire United States according to the DMV. Needless to say this is a rare automobile. A great investment.
