Vehicle Detail

What you are bidding on is a very nice 1972 GMC/ Chevy C10 Show Truck with a 454 that has been bored out to a 496. This truck has an unbelievable amount of power and runs very smooth and very quick. There are several visual mods that make the truck stand out from all the rest. Such as, beautiful purple paint that gives it a very nice look, a 2" cowl induction hood, Weld drag racing wheels, the truck is lowered just enough to give it an aggressive stance, shaved rear bumper, some window tint and a nice new stereo system. I just got back from a car show in Branson, MO and this truck catches everybodys eye and got a ton of compliments. The only reason I am selling the truck is because I am wantin to hop back into the driver seat of a 55 Bel Air. Now we can talk about the part of the truck that everybody seems to like the most, the drivetrain. This engine makes 576HP @5400 RPM and makes 640 lbs of torque at 4500 RPM all done with 91 Octane pump gas using the 850CFM Holley Carb. It is a 4 bolt main, 496 cubic inch, Mark IV, 454 4 bolt block with a 2 piece rear seal, 9,800 deck Chevrolet stroker engine. Machined on RMC V40 fully automatic CNC machine. The work performed to the engine is as follows: The block was oven cleaned, shot peened, magnafluxed and pressre tested. The block was freshly bored and torque plate moly honed to .060. Sonic checkednto ensure concentric cylinder wall thickness after borning and honing. It was line honed, square decked, and new cam bearings were installed along with new brass freeze plugs. All bolt holes and threads are perfectly fine. This engine has a brand new set of lightweight, fully CNC machined Richard Black forged racing pistons and speed pro plasma moly rings (1/16, 1/16, 3/16 OIL). These pistons yield a pump gas friendly 10.25:1 compression ratio. Richard Black is an industry leader in racing pistons. New Clevitte H bearings for rods and mains, rod and camshaft bearings. The camshaft is a new Elgin Industries E1143P and with true Cloyes double roller chain set. This camshaft is a hydraulic lifter grind .576 lift 246 duration @ .050 on both the intake and exhaust and it is ground on 108 degree lobe seperation. This camshaft has a distinct lopy idle and is designed to make maximum power throught the 2500-6500 RPM range. Installed along with the camshaft is a new set of Elgin hydraulic lifters. Rods are brand new Pro-Comp Enterprises forged steel K beam cap screw with 7/16 bolts and full floating wrist pins. The rods are .385. The rods are .250 longer than stock to produce less side load on the piston which results in less friction and greater horsepower and torque throughout the RPM range. The crankshaft is brand new aircraft quality forged steel 4340 Pro-Comp crankshaft. The crankshaft is shot peened for stress relieving and has a full .125 radius on the mains and rod journals. This crankshaft is also internally balanced and is the best of the best!! (4.250 stroke, 1/4 inch longer then stock 454), freshly micropolished and standard on the rod and main journals. This engine is fully balanced on RMc Computer Balancer and it is also BLUEPRINTED. Pistons, rods, and crankshaft are balanced to less than 1 gram. (Most machine shops only balance to a 5 gram spread). Bearing clearances were sat at .002 on both the mains and the rods. The cylinder heads are new Pro-Comp aluminum CNC ported rectangle port. Heads have been assembled with new stainless steel swirl polished Manley valves (2.25x1.88). These valves are 11/32 stem and .250 longer then stock, a new set of double springs and Cromoly retainers with hardened locks and a new set of PC seals. These heads also have new stainless steel 1.7 ratio full roller rocker arms, new pushrods, new rocker studs, guideplatesnand a new set of ARP head studs with washers and 12 point nuts. Assembled with a new melling M77HV high volume oil pump and screen, deep sump 7 quart oil pan, new polished Pro-Comp cast aluminum timing cover, new Pro-Comp 7" fluid filled harmonic balancer. Hooker Stainless Steel Super Comp headers run into Flowmaster mufflers which sounds very deep and loud. Turns alot of heads. Edelbrock manifold with Holley Carb Transmision is a Turbo 400 with a shift kit and a B&M ratchet shifter for flawless shifting everytime. Also has a 5" Autometer tach with a very bright shift light to let you know when its time to shift, so you can watch the road/strip. This truck sports a 9" Ford rear end with 3.73 gears. It is a posi trac rear end with a locker for maximum traction at all times. It also has a 12 bolt drop in center section and 12 bolt axle sections made by Strange Axles. Im sure there are many other parts that I dont have listed, theres just too many mods to list.
