Vehicle Detail

Own a rare piece of Pontiac History. I won't go into the long story about these cars here, but the full story is readily availible if you do a quick Google search. Here's the short story, Pontiac redesigned the Grand Prix in 1989, and went to American Sportscar Company to do a special Turbo version. These are the same folks that did the famous Buick Grand National Turbo work for GM just a few years before. This car is fully loaded with leather, sunroof, heads up display, power leather seats and pretty much every option for a 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix. It even has steering wheel radio controls and a CD player. Overall for the age the car is in good condition. I am selling as-is with no warranty because i haven't done much with the car since I got it about 6 months ago. I bought it as a project, but have moved on to other things. It came from New York, but has no body rust. The undercarriage however has a fair amount of what appears to be only surface rust. Here are a few things I know are wrong with the car: Needs brake pads and rotors(probably from sitting) Needs Struts Tires have a slow leak Front bumper is damaged and will need replacement, or extensive repair The hood is incorrect, I have the correct Turbo hood for the winning buyer. But, it will need to be stripped and painted There are some scrapes on the right fender There are two small dings over the right door The left tailpipe is missing The trunk lock cylinder is missing and there is a dent around where it should go. Also, the spoiler is missing and there are a couple of dents where it was bolted to the trunklid. There is a small slit on the lower right corner of the rear bumper The glovebox door is broken, the rearview mirror neeeds to be reglued and the headliner on the sunroof is starting to come loose. Also, the carpet needs shampooing. I havn't driven the car much, so I can't say anything about it's mechanical condition except what is noted above and that it does run and drive. I would recommend towing it home on a flatbed trailer, unless you live really close to me. The car is sold as-is and I am making no garuntees. But, the interrior, body and paint are in fairly good condition for any vehicle of this age, and with a little work this would make a nice car. The rarity and history behind these cars is very interesting as well.
