Very clean, 1 repaint several years ago by prior owner, some rust in tailgate and rear floor (small area), 258 AMC in-line cylinder engine with 3 speed on the floor. 4 wheel drive works great, very good tires, new battery, newer brake master cylinder, newer alternator. I re-wired under dash and engine compartment with fuse panel using a wiring kit similar to painless but suited to the Commando switches. Have both soft and hardtops. wear on soft top shows in photos. Jeep runs great and gets lots of looks. Runs slightly rich but does NOT burn any oil. Engine very smooth, clutch works great and brakes work very well (manual). Have roll bar that I never installed, extra passenger side inner fender (some damage underneath). All glass is good...one BB shot hole in windshield but has stayed small. Also have spare front & rear drive shafts, a couple of hub caps, carburetors, dash panel and other miscellaneous parts that go with it. Also have tow bar ( fixed type) with ball hitch setup that works good. Only non- working items are horn and radio. Radio works, but channel selector broke...very easy replacement. Planned to restore for pulling behind motorhome to go jeep trail riding, etc, but had major surgery earlier this year and sold motorhome so now don't need. Have used often recently as local driver as runs good and very reliable. Starts right up after a couple of pumps and runs like a tractor!
