I am selling my 1979 Jeep Cherokee Super Chief. This is one is a true survivor in all aspects of the word. It is a throw back to the way jeeps where meant to be. I know you hear this a lot, but believe me when I tell you that this is truly an awesome Jeep. I purchased it out of Oregon about a year ago, and was going to take it to jeep shows, but as luck would have it, I ended up not having the time for it. I hate to sell it, but it does no good sitting around collecting dust. It is a Quadra track, it has dana 44' axles, 360 motor with 2 barrel carb. Everything works on this Jeep, and I mean everything, that includes the back window that is motorized, all dashboard gages, lights, and even the AC blows, but it's not real cold, but hay after 32 years what do you expect. I have never drove it off road, nor in the winter, nor did the previous owner, but not sure about the owner that had it in Oragon. The jeep needs very, and I mean very little to make it show room perfect. It has a little rust starting on the bottom of the 2 back quarters ( I was told by a jeep enthusiast that they always rust there because they never put drain plugs in the quarter from the factory) You can see this in the pics. very few paint chips on the jeep, but it's original paint from 32yrs ago, so not bad. Underneath the jeep is very clean and very solid. This jeep must be seen, and heard and driven to really appreciate it for what it is. I am not a real jeep enthusiast, as to this is the first jeep that i have ever owned, so forgive me for not knowing everything, but if I leave something out just send me an e-mail, or your # and I will get the information back to you. I can tell you and this is no lie, if you do not like attention, or being bothered by people, then this is probably not the vehicle for you. Everywhere I go it turns heads, and I get stopped constantly. People always ask tons of questions about it, and even take pic's with it. I am not an enthusiast, nor an expert, so this get's quite annoying for me when I go anywhere with it (just fair warning). The jeep has only 94, 899 original miles on it. It has not even rolled over yet. It starts on the first try every time, and has almost new exhaust, it sounds, and runs down the road like a new jeep. Rides perfect. It has been garage keep. I would not hesitate to jump in this jeep and drive it cost to cost over and over again. It is a very pampered jeep, but still a jeep, so you know what it's capable of. It really needs to be seen, driven, and heard in person to fully appreciate how amazing the condition is on this jeep. Once in a lifetime opportunity so don't let this one get away.
