1989 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo - Indianapolis Pace Car - only 54,000 actual miles - a local one owner car, traded to our dealership, this is an actual and documented Indianapolis Pace Car from the 1989 running of the 500 race. This Trans Am was purchased at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, through the local Pontiac dealership after the running of the race , we do have all the documentation, including a letter from Pontiac verifying the vehicle was in fact used at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, pictures from the track, original purchase papers, owners manuals, warranty booklets, and service records. It has been locally owned and driven until being damaged in an accident, we were told the damage is to the body panels only, not structural or mechanical ..... it appears to need a hood, front bumper/facia, a right front fender, a windshield, and of course the detail or trim that goes along with the body repairs. This Trans Am has been maintained and does run and drive just fine, we did service, inspect, and road test this Trans Am, she is mechanically sound, however we are selling as-is due to the age of the vehicle. This is a rare model Trans Am and could be showroom quality with the needed body repairs and touch up work .... the motor is original condition and very clean, the interior - the dash - door panels - seats and carpets are all original and in good condition, the t tops are the factory originals and nice - with the original t top storage bags, the wheels are original and in excellant condition - with almost new tires ..... the body is in good condition with the exception of the noticeable faults being the front end body damage as well as the rear spoiler and rear bumper needing repair and painted.
