Owned by a local Southern California gentleman from new, this lovely 1968 MGB GT is a truly rare find. The car, originally primrose yellow, was subject to a good quality cosmetic restoration some years ago and the colour was changed to the far more exciting red seen today. The car shows very well, with good shine and lustre to the paint. Chrome is very good to excellent, as is trim and the original painted wire wheels. There is no evidence of the car ever being in an accident or any rust repairs, as it has enjoyed the Southern California climate from new. The interior is in excellent original condition with some repair evident to the dash top, which seems to have been replaced. It is a good quality repair. The rest of the dash, the seat surfaces, panels and carpet are all in very good condition. The car had been in storage for some years by the family of the deceased owner, but fresh gas, battery and a carb tune and the car runs fantastically well. The engine has good power and is responsive, clutch and transmission work well, as do brakes and suspension. All electrical systems work as they should. The car features the highly desirable overdrive option, which is also in perfect working order. Though the mileage shows only 38,000 miles, I suspect that may be 138,000, but highly doubt that it is more from the general condition of the car. This is a truly rare-find, an MGB GT in this condition with single owner history, and a must for the MG enthusiast.
