1978 Mercury Marquis Two Door Red The car is for sale locally and if sold, the auction will be canceled.Please remember, this is a 30 + year old car and is not in Mint condition.It is being sold without warranty and as is. I have done my best to describe the vehicle however I will do my best to answer the questions you may have. The Vehicle Runs shifts and drives very well. You cannot by a beeter today for this kinda of Money let alone a One Owner piece of American History that is so far above average you cannot put a 10 year old vehicle along side of this Marquis. This 1978 has the 351 V-8 which was a big improvement over its larger restricted V-8. The transmission and vehicle shifts and runs great. The 8 track and accersories all work. Power seat works and you are seeing the interior without even a vaccum or shampoo. The Marquis even comes with a car cover. This Marquis is being represented for a 73 year old friend of mine that has to part with his dream car that he bought in the Golden Days of the Big American coupes. I am helping him market his car locally, nationally, and Internationally. Yes he has title and it truly is a One Owner. This Mercury Marquis is a One Owner Illinois vehicle. It is in very good condition overall. The Marquis is a very good running vehicle. It is missing a passenger side hup-cap and the AC compressor is not working. The Marquis has been garage kept and well taken care off. The power seat, windows ,locks ,and accessories all work. The Marquis has a new exhuast and has been mantained. The vehicle has a few surface rust spots on the drivers side rear vinyl top/body line and a few spots on the rear truck lid. The head light covers only close when the car is running, and open again when the vehicle is shut off. The headliner trim around interior light is missing trim piece.
