Vehicle Detail
I purchased this car from my insurance man who owned it for many years. It is an all original, low mile First-year Fiero GT that runs strong, tracks straight, and stops good. Nothing about this GT makes you feel like you're driving an economy car. The original 2-tone interior is in amazing condition, and reflects the car's low miles. The trunk interior is equally clean. The original paint shows some wear and tear, but doesn't look too bad for being nearly 27 years old. Most flaws can be seen in the pictures, and include chipped paint along the tops of the GT ground-effects, small cracks in the rear quarter window simulators, and a crack under the rear bumper (near the driver side tailpipe). There are other small nicks and chips scattered around the body, but the car is still very presentable overall. There are newer tires all the way around (less than 1500 miles), and the engine, transmission, and wheel bearings are all smooth and quiet, so I think it could be driven long distances safely. All interior/exterior lights and turn signals work properly, as do both power windows. The retractable headlights also open and close perfectly. The only mechanical issue is a small coolant leak. It's on the right side of the engine where the filler cap, water pump, and radiator hoses are all located, so I've been unable to pinpoint the source. I just top off the coolant level every 100 miles or so, and it's been reliable to drive with no overheating problems. The only other things I can think of that need attention are the cruise control (which only works intermittently), the hood won't stay up without a prop, the headliner is slightly detached around the sunroof (from a past leak that's been fixed), and the light that illuminates the clock and radio station is not functioning. The original radio plays and lights up at night just fine, it just won't tell you what time it is, or what station you're on. If I had a bigger garage this car wouldn't be going anywhere, but I'm no longer able to keep it indoors. Hopefully it will find its way to another good home. Thanks for looking. I will do anything I can to facilitate showing you the car, or meeting with your transport agent.
