VERY LOW RESERVE !!! 13B 4 Port Street Ported (approx. 10-20k miles on engine / later model "good" housings)Racing Beat Holley, manifold, heat shield, air filter housingRacing Beat Header and exhaust - up to muffler (stock muffler)Racing Beat underdrive pulleys4:11 Limited Slip DifferentialAmsoil in engine, transmission, and differentialKYB Shocks and Struts Here is the story of the car for those who are seriously interested in bidding: I bought the car in 2003 in all original condition besides the paint. I replaced all of the door seals and felts at this time and converted the AC to 134a with new compressor and so on……I replaced every little thing that was not perfect like vents, dome light covers, emblems, rubber stops, etc....kinda a mini restoration. At this point, the car was very nice and got a lot of looks. Since my dad and I ran a rotary race and repair shop in the late 80's and early 90's, we decided to take it up a notch and put in a street port with all of the goodies listed. I wanted the car to be comfy so I never lowered it, but it does have KYB shocks and struts. I gave the car to my father in 2006 when my daughter was born. He drove it for a while and then he got busy and ran out of room for it and it ended up sitting outside for the last 5 years or so. He drove it enough to keep everything moving, but the outside weather took it's toll. So from 2003-2007 or so it was a very nice, quick fully functioning classic sleeper car with cold AC and so on. …. Then it kinda got neglected from 2007 to now. I decided recently to retrieve the car and possibly get it back to "good condition". In October of last year, I flew to Arkansas and drove the car back here to Indianapolis (10 hours) with no trouble. I put it in a garage and have driven it a few times since. I have realized the time of my life for tinkering with cars has passed and I do not care to mess with it. This car is no longer "nice" but is definitely a good start to restoring a nice classic or will be great for parts (shedding tear). The leather seats are pretty nice for their age....see pictures. No cracks in dash. Running Condition: This car runs great and strong and does not smoke. I think it would be much faster with a more free flowing muffler. Racing Beat claims 225 hp with this current set up + Racing beat muffler. It takes a long time to get warmed up and does not really like to "putt around"…it runs best when given moderate gas…for these reasons, I do not think it is a good daily driver.... BUT ...This may be able to be fixed with carb rebuild (?) because I seem to remember this car being smoother with this exact set up a few years ago. It runs completely smooth and strong at full throttle up past 8,000 RPM no problem. It starts up at first turn of the key wether hot or cold and sounds great. It is not excessively loud but I would say moderately. Runs cool and never overheats even on 95 degree days. No coolant leaks. Drips a little oil over time, but nothing major, relatively normal in my opinion.....not enough to have to add oil above normal rotary consumption. What Works: · The brakes work great. It has 4 wheel disc and the brakes are actually bigger on the GSL-SE models than regular GSL's. Good pads and in perfect working order. (GSL-SE's also have shorter strut housings on front) · All lights work: headlights (pop up), brake, parking, tail, turn, tag, dash, etc. · Power Mirrors · Inside Dome Light · Inside Map Light · Power Windows · Gas Lid opener · Rear Hatch opener · Heater / Fan What Does Not Work: · Wipers (they seem to be disconnected from the linkage) · AC · Cruise Control (never since Holley..not sure if possible?) · Radio· Horn (my dad put on a different steering wheel, old one can be obtained) The steering box is fully adjusted but there is definite play in the steering. Those who know these cars, know this is characteristic of 1st gens. The steering box will need to be replaced to solve this. The car has a couple of small rust spots as shown in pictures, but no major rust underneath or anywhere else. Two small spots near rear hatch and two on sun roof. (see pictures)There is no rust in channels, underneath, under carpet, or other problems areas known to plauge these models. The molding strip has come off of the driver door as shown in the pictures but comes with the car. The paint appears to be shot to me, but I have heard people say "you can buff that out"…but I don't know. I would not bet on it. The door seals are still good but starting to show their age. The sunroof works fine and I do not think it leaks.I had the windows tinted back in 2003 and is still in "ok" condition. If you are considering buying this car, you probably know about RX7's and rotaries. We rotarians are a rare and funny breed. Please do not expect a beautiful car. My experience with buying cars and motorcycles on ebay is that they all look better in pictures. It needs work....BUT, If not for the 8 year old, dry rotted tires, I would be confident this car would drive across the country and further. The engine, transmission, and differential have always had full synthetic Amsoil in them since I have owned the car. The drive train is tip top. The transmission shifts wonderfully. Please call with further questions and I hope this car gets a good home. My first name is Brix and my cell is 407-721-7625. I will be completely honest and open about anything and everything regarding this car and it's history with me. I will not go out of my way to ship this car. You can come get it and drive it home or send a car carrier to my house. This car has a clean and clear Arkansas title.
