This 97, F150, 3door, supercab, is an old, beater, truck! Truth be told, the odometer stopped working on 247099. I have no idea when that was. But, I'm sure the engine is NOT original. The A/T probably isn't either. This truck will fly. Runs GREAT, no missfires, no smoke, and doesn't use oil. The Air Conditioner blows ice cold. It was purchased at an auction last year, and has had a new starter, tune-up, and oil change, done since then. It needs a new windshield, and probably some minor work ( the headliner sags, dome light doesn't work, etc), but the body is amazingly straight. The radio doesn't work, and the dash lights need some attention. It was a construction pickup. If you travel rough terrain where you don't want to take a nice truck, this one's for you. You need a 4.6, V-8, or some body parts, part it out. Chances are, you can make money. Or, if your kid needs his first car, this one wraps him in steel, so when he wrecks it, he survives. There are many reasons to buy an OLD BEATER TRUCK. Used truck prices are outragious! I know, I just finished a 2 week search for one. This one's cheap. This is a really good project truck, for anybody who wants to fix one up. I'm sure that many people have a use for this truck, but I don't. It does have a couple of 1" holes in the roof from flashing lights, used by tyhe construction company. They are sealed up.
