here is a 1955 desoto four door sedan, with the 55' chrysler 301 v8 spitfire engine. The car was purchased by me in San Antonio, texas, and came from englewood colorado before that. So it is a very clean dry car for a 55' model. The floors and rockers are excellent, with some older rust repair in the lower quarter panels and bottoms of the front fenders. The Interior is all original and Intact. The engine runs excellent, and the car was converted to the twelve volt system, and has an electric fuel pump Installed as well. The car starts first time, every time, even at -10 below! I've rebuilt the brakes, and rebuilt the carburetor. It is a radio delete car, and all the lights and dash guages work. The car has been in dry storage ever since it arrived, but has never been driven on the street by me. However, the most recent Inspection sticker was 12/08 in texas.Other projects dictate the sale of the car, and delivery of the car could be arranged for a fee. The previous elderly owner stated the car has about 5,000 miles on the rebuilt engine, and it sounds like it. I like the drivetrain so well, I would sell the car minus the drivetrain if somebody has the original 291 V* hemi sitting around, or wanted a more modern engine to put in the car.
