This auction is for a 1969 Dodge A-100 (A108) long wheel base van. It is equipped with a 318ci V-8 and a 727 automatic transmission as per original build specifications. The van had the camper conversion done by one of the companies at the time. It has the fold out jalousie windows and the pop top which allows for standing room, extra ventilation and the fittings for a single cot. The interior had been removed at some time and a previous owner installed plywood paneling and painted it all black. It's a good foundation for building a custom interior or use as a cargo van. I bought it for the camper components to install in my cargo a 100 but it's too nice to part out and I'm keeping my cargo van stock at this time. It's been a Nevada and California car and is nice and dry with very minimal corrosion/rust. It appears to be original paint except where the previous owner added the black on the interior the bumpers and the roof around the pop top. The body is really straight except for the slight crunch on the cargo door side. The rust is limited to a small spot (2 inch hole) in the floor board of the passenger side and a little bit in the rear drivers side corner. There's also a small hole in the botom of the rear side cargo door. I don't generally buy rusty vintage cars but this is all very isolated small spots and is probably one of the better survivors out there. The cargo door wood panels were removed and stored to show the condition and original paint. The yellow brown smears on the inside looks like rubber cement or similar adhesive. The van starts, stops, shifts and steers but the motor and transmission are in need of repair. The engine runs rough and the transmission leaks some fluid.It could be driven on and off of a truck and driven a short distance (I did when I received it) but that's about it.
