Up for bid is a 2 owner 65 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible. It is not an XL, it has just under 125k miles. It's powered by the original 325 FE Big Block Ford engine. The transmission is the original Cruise-O-Matic. Still has the 9" rear with 3.00 gearing. It has a working Power Top but the canvas needs replaced. The top is a Glass rear window type. Car is a factory A/C car. (Compressor in trunk) This cas has not been restored but, it has been repainted about 4 years ago. It was not a show quality job, but it's not an Earl Shibe or Maaco job either. It is a good 10 footer. It has one small area where some minor damage occured by the r/r tail lamp. It was not fixed properly and it shows when you look close. The trunk floor is rusty and should be replaced as with the passenger side rear floor board. (Please study the pictures). The engine runs well but has a little blow by. The transmission works like a Cruise-O usually does. The brakes were done 2 years age. New battery last month. It has some rust in the battery tray area. It drives down the highway very well. I drove this back and fourth to work for 3 days. It's a 60 mile round trip and had no problems. The interior had the carpet replaced about 15 years ago. It's not torn but shows some wear. The seats are presentable but not for show by any means. The dash & guages are in nice shape. The windshield trim needs replated. All in all, it's decent for a 46 year old car. Something you can get in and enjoy today. But it will need some attention down the road. The best part is that you don't have to go hunt anything down. It's all there and it hasn't been Hot Rodded or Butcherd. This is bieng offered with a Low Starting Bid & NO RESERVE!!!
