Vehicle Detail
Hello fellow ebayers! You are viewing my friend Louis 1958 Pontiac Bonneville. I am listing this car for him since he does not know how to list a car on ebay. I am selling this car for Lou since 1. He needs the money back. 2. Hes over his head in cool old project cars! He is still out and about buying 30s 40s 50s Hot rods and even though he has a couple he can use he just doesnt realize his body isnt as active as his mind when it comes to actually restoring one of these cars. He told me what he has into the car and I watched the market and I started it low and I feel my buy it now is actually a good deal and a fair price. These 58-59 Convertibles have broken into the six figures and a very restorable piece such as this with straight panels and nice working doors etc should easily be worth a quarter of that. Louis purchased the car right here in central Long Island last year and found it sitting in a barn/garage since 1978! (that's why its not rotted away) He brought it home and put it into his "cars waiting to be done" region of his backyard! I have convinced him to thin out his backyard herd and actually let these cars get done by someone with some talent and some zill! I will list what I know The Body: It looks pretty bad at first but its actualy quite solid. the seams and most of the areas that are rotted on most of these bonnevilles are quite good. No panels need replacing! The doors, hood, trunk all work well and all trim lights etc are on the car or in the trunk. The Drivetrain: I do not have any history here. It has not been fiddled with at all. All I can say is everything is here and looks as if it has not been messed with. No missing air cleaner or loose valve covers or anything that looks suspicous. It "should" be servicable. As you can see the top needs recovering but the frame looks good and Lou keeps her tarped up so she is dry inside and looking forward to be in dry storage again soon! If you need additional photos or are interested in viewing the car shoot me an email and I will help you set up an appointment or get you pictures of whatever you need to see. Good Luck and Happy Bidding! Jeremy
