1931 MODEL A +++2 DOOR VICTORIA SEDAN RUNS, DRIVES, STOPS LIKE IT SHOULD and THINGS WORK BEAUTIFUL INTERIOR+++BRILLANT BLACK PAINT CLEAR GLASS+++GLEMING CHROME VIN A4618637 TIME SAVER::::Thank you for looking at my listing on the 1931 Model A Victoria. Here is what I think about the car as a 65 year old car restorer/mechanic>>> It is a very nice restored car, it looks great, it is not rusty, things work, it runs great, it stops great, it drive great for a Model A. I would consider this a drive and enjoy restoration, it doesn't have a $20,000 paint job, just a very nice shinny one, every bolt and nut was not removed for the restoration, things were just rebuilt or replaced as needed. Most people would consider the car compleatly restored, it is just a drive and enjoy restoration. A 100% nut & bolt restoration would cost a lot of money "a lot more than I'm asking for the car". It has very nice paint, new interior, crstal clear glass, super nice chrome, the mechanical is great, the worst thing I see is yellowing white side wall tires. The lowest I can take for this car is $16,800 and I'm asking $18,800 on the local market. No need to call or email unless you like the car enough to pay $16,800. Research the asking price of 1931 Victorias and you will see that my price is very good. "This is a nice car restored to drive and enjoy quality, its not a 100 point car that will win the National Model A Club show 1st prize, it just nice". I'll give you details below if you still have interest! MILEAGE 03532 reading, undocumented. HISTORY: I can't tell you much other than what I see on my inspection. I bought the car here in Tennessee and did not get any information. You just get what you see! TITLE: Clear Tennessee title in hand. IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? No real rust problems, the underside have spider webs and is not show detailed, but rock solid. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a classic car restorer, but when I find a vehicle I like and can sell for a fair market price, I buy it fix a few things and resell. PAINT: The paint is better than drive and enjoy quality! It looks very nice, the car is straight to look down the sides, no rust bubbles, no dents, no runs,it has a brilliant shine. I'm telling you this is not a perfect show car with a perfect $20,000 paint job, but super nice paint that I think most people would be happy with. If you look real close with a critical eay you will find some very small touched up chips and specs in the paint. CHROME: Super nice chrome, no rust, no dulling. INTEROR: All redone and nice. No wear, no holes, no smoke smell and it is clean, I'm not an expert on these, but it looks like an original type material. The instrument cluster bezel is dull as will as the timing and thottle lever. These can be bought at Snyder's Model A parts for not a lot of money. They don't bother me and I'm trying to make a little money so I'm not going to buy them. UNSERSIDE: No rust problems, not detailed for show, but solid. GLASS: Clear with no milkey spots and no cracks, the side windows roll up and down good. TOP AND HEAD-LINER: The top is in very nice condition, the headliner is like new. SOUND SYSTEM: Roll the window down and hear the engine purr. AIR CONDITIONING: Roll the windshield out and let the wind hit you in the face. ENGINE: It’s a 4 cylinder flathead that runs like it should, it has no unwanted rattles, no blue smoke, its a Model A and will leave a couple of drops of oil on the floor, but it is dryer than most any one I have seen. This is a good engine and it runs very strong! Past owner said it had been rebuilt, as a mechanic I beleive this to be true, but cannot document anything. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Good used condition. TRANSMISSION: 3 speed manual that shifts as it should, these did not have a synchronized gears. REAR-END: Original and its is in good condition. BRAKES: Mechanical brakes, “no juice, no hydraulics”. These stop good, but you have to apply your foot. STEERING: The steering linkage is good, the car drives very good. WHEELS AND TIRES : The rims are painted very nice, the tires have very good tread, but have a lot of yellowing. If I get time I'll die the whites with a high quality die, it looks pretty good, but if you scuff one you have to touch it up. If I do die them I'll give you some extra die. "I will only die them if I get extra time, no guarantee". LIGHTS and wiring: They work and the wiring is good! HORN WORKS, it makes a Aghooga sound! amp gauge works, ! THE GAS GAUGE WORKS! Speedometer works! HOW FAST WILL THE CAR GO! It will go faster, but a good cursing speed is about 40 mph. . GUAGES: Amp gauge works, fuel gauge works. HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? I think they open and close good! Model A Ford doors are made to hang over in the back edge , this is the way they came from the factory. DEFECTS AND PROBLEMS: These are just what I remember off the top of my head! 1. The paint is nice, but has some very minor touched up chips. 2. The tires are good, but have lots of yellowing. 3. The underside is nice, but not detailed real pretty for show. 4.Probally something else I missed. TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just too hard! The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the vehicle, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information. CONTACT INFO: my cell telephone number is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:30 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day. cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com PAPERWORK: I know what to do! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the car “come look”. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my garage in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of Knoxville and 50 miles north of Chattanooga. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, Tennessee “Athens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee “I am truly qualified to be called a Hill Billy”. I am 65 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 39. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam. I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American. I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 42 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! TRANSPORT: EBAY MOTORS gives 3 instant transport quotes if you click on the link on my listing. US OR EXPORT “the best”: Classic Car Transport, LLC: This is a very good company that will handle any type of transport in the US or overseas with the white glove treatment. They are located in the Kansas City area. Call Bill at 913-749-0930 Email billc@classiccartransport.com MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75) and 35 miles south of interstate 40, so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car, I will take the deposit by PayPal, but not full payment. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake bank certified check. If you want to bring a certified check for payment, I might take it if I call you bank in advance, have all your contact information like full address, I'll check you ID. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire transfer. And its safe for both of us. WILL I HOLD THE CAR UNTIL YOU GET HERE TO LOOK OR HAVE IT INSPECTED? Not without a $250 non-refundable deposit! I have held too many cars that people promise me they are going to buy and they never show up, their wife won’t let them buy it, they can’t get a loan or they just back out. Before you drive or fly a long distance you need to make sure the car is not sold. “The way I look at it is until you pay a deposit you’re just looking and dreaming”. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 64 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but most of them do not impress me at all, most really don’t know what to look at, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first! BOTTOM LINE: My firm price is $16,800 and I am asking $18,800 on the local market. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down. WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY. Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com I am very careful about taking payment, I have had a fake certified check, it looked real and the buyer seemed real. I will take one, but I will check you out. I am ebay varified, that means you can buy ebays buyer protection plan and they will guarantee thats I'm real, they will not guarantee the car.
