1961 CHEVROLET CORVAIR GREENBRIER 8 DOOR NO RESERVE!!! I am selling a rare 8 door 1961 Chevrolet Corvair Greenbrier with NO RESERVE!!!. I obtained this vehicle as payment in trade for work done on a Corvair Lakewood. It has a clear Calfornia Title. This vehicle was painted and upholstered several years ago and was placed in storage after that. According to the previous owner he paid a lil over 8k in paint and body and over 3k in upholstry work. It still needs some fine tuning on the interior here and there; and the paint does have some scratches and dings on the body from careless transporting and storage. This vehicle doesn not come with any powertrain(no transmission or engine). It also doesn't roll very easy due to missing wheelbearings...hubs just put on temporarily to move. Sitting on jack stands in most pics with tires just put in place to represent where this vehicle will sit with powertrain in and hubs installed correctly. How under all the carpet has been rust proofed. In all doors and back panels is the bubble insulation, but don't like the fact that they didn't rust proof inside the doors and use a good sound deadening mat. There is a good sound deadening material on the roof behind the headliner. Also added pics of all the glass, bumpers. This Vehicle does not come with the front windshield or any door weather stripping or window seals. Does come with 3 extra pieces of glass. 2 for side doors and one drivers door glass. Of course if wanting flawless showroom quality glass it's nice that the Greenbrier uses all flat glass cause you can go to any glass shop and get new glass cut. More pics added on 8/7/2011 All glass included with some extra, but no front windshield, I can get new windshields for 580.00 delivered plus tax, this is from a warehouse that has plenty of them. Does not include the seal to go around it, that must be purchased seperately. This auction does not include any door or window rubber/seals, these can be found in many places and range in pricing depending on quality. Please don't hesitate to contact me for pricing or sources to locate what is needed for this Corvair Bumpers will need some slight tweeking and to be rechromed The air vent that mounts behind the engine in the back they forgot to paint, oops. If needed can get the color code for the silver paint on the body. Missing the drums and assembly along with will need new wheelbearings. Can convert to front disc brakes if want. Don't like the fact they never undercoated this sooner. Along with rust proofing and installing a proper sound deadening mat inside all doors. My rust proofing system includes sandblasting, properly sealing and encapsulating all metals and then applying a 3 coat rust proofing system to insure long last protection for a daily driver. Ranges from 1500.00 - 2500.00 depending on if want suspension system done inside all doors and panels along with the undercarriage. Can also do showroom finishes but please contact me with details on this.
