Up for auction is a 1995 Volkswagen Jetta GLS with a 5-speed manual transmission. The car has 194,xxx miles on the odometer. It starts right up and runs and drives great. It also gets great gas mileage. The engine runs strong. The clutch pedal is nice and firm and the transmission shifts smoothly and easily in and out of every gear.The car's body has no rust, but the clear coat is flaking off...particularly on the roof and trunk lid.All electrical items (except for one rear window, see below) appear to work just fine.The power sunroof functions perfectly and does not leak. Items that have been replaced in the past few months: -master cylinder -front tires -battery -cap and rotor -spark plugs and wires Items that may need attention: -The seats show some signs of wear (driver's has a tear) so you might want to add seat covers -There is no stereo, though all of the wiring and speakers are intact and ready for you to add one -The air conditioning probably needs a charge (the motor blows just fine but the air doesn't come out very cold) -The rear driver's side window sticks (sometimes it doesn't want to go back up when it's down; might be the switch? (Currently it is down but we will try to raise it prior to completion of auction.) Our plan had been to fix the minor issues with this car (install new stereo, address window issue, etc) and use it as our second vehicle/commuter. However, we have another baby on the way and need to get a bigger vehicle to accommodate our growing family. This car would be great for someone who is looking for great gas mileage, a student, a delivery driver, etc. It's not the prettiest car on the road, but it does start up and run reliably and economically. No warranty is implied with the sale of this vehicle. All sales are final. You are bidding on a sixteen year old car. I've done my best to describe it and I am happy to answer any and all questions you may have to the best of my ability. The title is clear and signed and will go with the car (unless you need it mailed to you prior to pickup, which I can also do). I am happy to work with your shipper or transporter. With a bit of notice, I can generally adjust my schedule so that the car can be picked up on a day/time that works for you or your shipper. As well, if needed, I am able to store the vehicle in my private garage for up to three weeks (21 days) from the end of the auction.
