1964 Porsche 356 SC Coupe. Serial # 215765. Engine # 810413 - Matching #s per COA. I purchased from California In Jan. 2009 as prior two-owner Black-Plate car. The car is an excellent driver and I drive it - weather permitting. At time of purchase front spindles removed and king and link pins replaced. The front wheel bearings were also replaced along with front rotors and rebuild of front calipers. In fall of 2010 oil leak from crankshaft pulley seal lead to complete engine rebuild. Crank replaced by SC/912 crankshaft that was machine shop balanced with flywheel, clutch and pulley along with resizing and balancing of rods. Rod and main bearings replaced along with all necessary seals and gaskets. Rebuild at Touring Car - Matthews NC, regionally well-know air-cooled shop. Engine has Solex 40 P11 carbs and correct Knecht air cleaners. All engine sheet-metal powder coated as shown in pictures. I have all of these work receipts and will supply. The car has original floor pans, battery box and longitudinals which are in very good condition. Body gaps are good all around. Ruby Red finish looks excellent at 10 ft, close inspection reveals some spidering/blemishes. Some bubbling present at leading edge door bases- see pictures. Chrome is in good condition. Interior is in good condition as shown in pictures. Hella fog lights, Blaupunkt radio present but does not work. Tires also in good condition. The car is tremendous as a daily driver and needs nothing for this purpose. Engine runs smooth with terrific low-end torque- no oil/fluid leaks. Transmission is crisp/clutch excellent. With number-match rebuilt engine and solid, original undercarriage it is an excellent full restoration candidate. I have tried to represent as accurately and honestly as possible and will answer all questions. I am a long time porsche owner with 83 SC, 993 turbo and restored 356 C cab soon to be delivered. Mechanic will discuss engine rebuild and overall condition of car with serious buyers. I welcome and encourage inspection. I will facilitate shipping. Port of Charleston is approx. 4 hours.
