I brought this Astro to No. Virginia (Washington DC area) from my home in Huntington Beach. The van was never out of California, except for some trips to Vegas, etc. There is no rust anywhere on the truck. There is a scratch (like from a key) on the sliding side door. You can see it in the photo. I just keep it waxed, th etruck is VERY presentable and shiny. Recently, I put new plugs, rotor and cap, wire set, and new brake pads (discs) front and rear. The rear rotors were also replaced, I purchased the front rotors and the ones on the truck were still good, so I didn't change them. The new front rotors are included with the sale. Also recently the Astro has had a Mobil 1 oil change. I work with Railroads, I was going to use it for my utility vehicle here at my worksite in Virginia, but have decided to purchase a pickup, so now the old friend must go. It is very clean inside with no signs of abuse or kids or smoke or dirt etc. It has three seating positions, the two from buckets, the center seat (not in photo, I took it out to haul a large TV box), and the rear seat. It has and will seat eight, with seatbelts for all. In the rear there is a seperate AC unit, many compartments and drink holders. If you remove the seats( which is easy and only takes a few moments), you can haul quite a load including sheets of 4 x 8 plywood. The Astros are known for reliability and comfortable ride. This one is no exception. The body is great with the exception of tiny parking lot marks, I have kept it washed and waxed and clean for the past few years that I have owned it. I have never had any issues with it until last December. I had the fuel pump replaced. Everything else was normal maintenance, the tune up, the brakes, and regular 3000 mile oil changes. The 4 speed overdrive transmission shifts perfect. Last year I put a new powdercoated trailer hitch on it, but never towed anything. I thought I would pull a small trailer to Virginia, but all my stuff fit inside. Titled recently in Virginia, but in California the rest of the time. The title is clear with no liens and ready to go. Power windows, locks with 2 key fobs, factory alarm, great AMFM radio, but no CD (sorry) multiple speakera, rear AC, Power Steering and Brakes, new air filter, tires are still good for a long trip.
