Up for your consideration, my 1985 Chevrolet El Camino Super Sport, Choo Choo Customs, pickup truck. It has 155,000 miles on it, and still runs great! I recently drove it cross country, covering over 2300 miles without any problems at all. In fact, the truck performed flawlessly, and got lots of attention at every truck stop, and every hotel I frequented. Factory color: Dark Maroon, Metallic, with maroon bucket seat interior. The paint is in very, very good condition with few scratches. The interior is also in very, very good condition. Original Rally wheels with new center caps. Tires are in excellent condition. All original body panels with no apparent rust or bondo, the nose is also original to the truck. It even has the original jack and full size spare tire. Brand new truck bed rails, and bed mat. The rest of the moldings are in very good to excellent condition. Rear bumper is new as are the tail lenses. I have a stack or receipts from the previous owner attesting to a ton of work completed on the vehicle. This includes: tranny serviced, bearings repacked, carb re-built, fuel pump, egr valve and tps replaced. Brakes were re-done, A/C system replaced, battery is 1 yr. old, bucket seat re-upholstered to original condition. New rear air shocks installed and new front monroe shocks installed. Total repaint to factory color. Replaced windshield washer pump, spark plugs, plug wires, and alternator. Rear wheel brake cylinders, axle bearings replaced, as well as the rear differential lube. BTW, the rear is the factory Posi that came with the truck. A 3500lb trailer hitch was also installed. All this work completed by the previous owner over the last few years, and i have the receipts to back it up. The only thing that i have done to the truck is to add a mahogany steering wheel to it, and i rebuilt the tilt steering column. All in all, it is in very good condition considering its' age, it runs and drives tight and smooth. It has the original motor, trans and rear. I even have the original dealer brochure for the truck showing the choo choo options and color choices. The only things i can see it needing are as follows: The dash has (2)-cracks in it. The center console lid need replacing/recovering. The smog pump is missing, as well as the smog tubes for the exhaust manifold. Also, the previous owner ran straight pipes from the catalytic converter back, so it has no mufflers. It is not at all loud, it has just the right amount of low end rumble to it. The engine compartment is dirty and could use a good detail. I take the truck to car shows all the time and get plenty of compliments on it. ( I just don't show the engine compartment.) I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. I would like to keep it forever, as they did not make a lot of these trucks. It has the original choo choo customs emblem on the dash, as well as the choo choo customs re-certification on the door jamb. Title is clear, and in my name, as i own it. It has an Ohio title and the only thing i can see on it is this: the state of Ohio declared that it exceeds its' mechanical limits, i don't know why, maybe something they do when a truck this old turns over 100,000 miles? I don't know. But it clearly has not exceeded it limits, or else i would not have been able to drive it cross country in march of this year. Look at the pics, does it look like it has exceeded anything, except to get thumbs up everywhere? Anyway, a $2000 deposit via paypal and the balance due in cash, or wire transfer. Local pick up in Orange, California, 92867 is o.k. Otherwise, winning bidder to make arrangements for transportation. No overseas shipping, i don't have the time, patience, or desire to see this vehicle leave the states.
