This vehicle can be a daily driver. I've taken care of all the details so you car enjoy this car rather than dealing with repairs and restoration companies. The general rule about vintage Alfa Romeo Spiders is that the carbs can be difficult and require a great deal of attention. This vehicle is fuel injected so there is no need to worry about that computer controlled too. Two other challenges with this vehicle is that the transmissions tend to grind after 25-50k. The transmission has been professionally rebuild with new guts 700 miles ago --problem solved. The other challenge with these wonderful cars is that the engine gaskets shrink and that they begin to seep oil after 25 years or so. These have all been very recently changed. While that service was being done, we decked the head, did a valve job and erased 50k worth of wear and tear. The vehicles run cool, they get great gas mileage 25-30 mph, and they do not depreciate in value overly. Plus, an Alfa has a heck of a lot more panache than a Miata MX-5. You could drive this vehicle and not experience depreciation beyond mileage use. It is the most inexpensive Italian vintage sports convertible to get in to period. It looks great, drives perfectly, and has no known mechanical issues. It has had the interior redone with new seat covers, complete brake service with two new calipers, new fuel pump, complete tune up, new stereo system with upgraded speakers and deck so you can hear music with the top down, complete front end rebuild with bushings, tie rods control arm bushings, shocks etc, the transmission has been rebuilt, and the motor has had all the gaskets replaced, clutch slave cylinder, the cylinder head was also rebuilt with a deck and valve job. The rear pinion seal has been replaced that all the fluids have been done: gear box, rear differential, brake fluid and on and on. There is one tiny door ding and one so-so paint repair that is color matched. It is about the size of a dime and is bearly noticeable. As a last example of the lengths to which I've tried to keep this vehicle factory correct. The front emblem has been replaced with a Italian-made emblem that I had it shipped directly from Italy. The aftermarket ones are close in design but are not really correct. The tires have 1000 miles of use and the rims are the nicer sport wheels that are factory correct. I've changed-out a lot of parts on this vehicle because I wanted a error free experience. Some parts were for done for aesthetics and others were for general maintenance.
