1971 Triumph, Stag Set up for Small Block Ford V-8 motor, and Mustang II IFS suspension For sale with NO RESERVE! This Vintage Hot Rod was locally built and owned in the mid 70's and was well known in and around the Cloverdale, Santa Rosa CA area. The car was somewhat legendary in its day for shocking many a muscle car owner who were "Left for dead!" when the light turned green by this super quick little English hot rod! The builder of the car did a very professional job of swapping the motors and transmissions, as well as the entire front suspension. The original owner swapped the original ( famously fragile Triumph V-8) for a robust Ford 302 Small Block V-8 motor, 4 speed transmission, Fully independent "Mustang II" front suspension, and 16" Front and 17" Rear Gold BBS Styled wheels. The car looks completely stock, sitting next to you at the traffic light but when that light turns green, "WOA NELLY" !. By choosing a Brit car that was already set up for a factory V-8 motor and Manual Trans., the center of gravity is low and they did not have to cut any of the stock frame or body work. For this reason there are no scary or unsafe handling quirks or engendering nightmares to overcome. I removed the original 60's 302 and 4 speed and put them into a vintage (50's Ford Hot Rod Truck). My plan was to install a late 80's Mustang GT 5.0 liter motor , 5 speed manual transmission, and a Vortech Super Charger ! PLEASE NOTE: The car is being sold WITHOUT a MOTOR , TRANS. or SUPER CHARGER ! The Motor and transmission , and the Vortech Super Charger were sold seperatly. Car is sold with Bill of Sale only. The car is a convertible and comes with a removable Factory Hard top. I have restored many Stags over the years and will be including an assortment of genuine Stag parts with the car.
