The Turbo 911, dubbed the "930", was a groundbreaking performer in the world pf sports cars. Ready to hang with the best of the exotics, and pushing past anything labled as "muscle", the 1978 930 Turbo was one of the fastest production cars in the world, making just shy of 270 horsepower and weighing just over 2800 pounds. What other manufacturer was publishing their quarter mile and zero to sixty times in the back of their owner's manuals? Ultra rare, ultra fast, and an instant collectible. Why buy this Turbo Porsche 911? Low miles, period-correct color combo, tremendous value. If you're a Classic Porsche enthusiast, it's tough not to love the Brown over Brown Recaro 930 Turbo. This car is amazing to look at, with timeless lines, widebody flare, and the infamous Whale Tale. The paint on this car looks fantastic, and appears to be nearly new. The refinish probably came at quite a cost, because it's done very well and looks excellent. The body is free of any major damage or imperfections, and the car overall looks awesome. The Fuch wheels have been refinished as well, and look very nice, complimenting the exterior perfectly. This car isn't perfect, but I'd rate the exterior a strong 8-8.5 out of 10. The interior of this car is original and in very good condition. The Recaro seats are power adjustable (bolsters and lumbar), and are in great shape, with some color wear and fade but no cracks or tears to speak of (aside from the rear seat, passenger side, see pictures). The carpet is in excellent condition, but the dash will need re-wrapped, the leather is pulling apart (can be seen in the pics) because of age. Mechanically, the car runs strong, shifts good, drives straight, and brakes and handles like you'd hope a '78 Turbo would. Points to consider prior to bidding: This Porsche is a 1978, and is far from a new car. Though very nice, this is not a "frame off restoration" car, and will surely need some tlc and items addressed eventually by the next owner to bring it to a higher level.
