Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator Clone. I have had this car for over 12 years and have cared for it and taken care of it as ANY car enthusiast would. Since I purchased it in my teenage years, I have had it repainted, put in a new brake master, new battery this spring, new windshield last summer and a new idler arm in the front end early when I purchased it. Over the years it has been a regular at the local car shows, cruise nights, and events. It always pleases a crowd and has been a part of me for many years. I am sad to see it go, but truthfully - I just don't drive it as much as I used to. Selling my beloved Cougar has "been in the talks" for a year or two now and yesterday as I took photos and video or it for this ad was the 3rd time I have driven it all year. That is the main reason for me to move on. I truly love this car, but understand that it's time for a new owner to make their memories and have it take them on years of adventures. She has always been a great car. As fast and powerful as you would want, but not too loud and very comfortable to drive. Great shape, but not a trophy car that needs to be hauled by trailer. Every car show that I attended, I drove it. I couldn't own a car that I had to trailer, where's the fun it that? Below is the specs about the car and a link to it's flicker photo site and youtube videos about the car (a walk around, test drive, etc). - 351W with edelbrock valve covers, carb, riser, weiand intact, comp cams rocker arms, 5 blade fan and electric cooling fan - Firestone Firehawk SS20 Tires - Mag rims - Upgraded XR7 wood inlay interior - ELIMINATOR package (added - clone car) - 3-4 Year old paint - Dual exhaust with big-bore manifolds - B&M Mega Shifter - FMX Auto Transmission- Newer carpet- New Coolant - Newer Idler Arm - New windshield - Newer brake master - BRAND new battery Please let me know if you cannot view the videos as I talk A LOT about the car and point out ALL the good qualities and show all the imperfections. (ding in front bumper, Jiggle door locks, Tiny hole in headliner etc.) You really need to watch the videos below for as close as possible representation of the car without seeing it in person. If you are interested in bidding and are having trouble viewing the videos or looking at the photos, please email me as there is alot of information in these that would give you a more informed view on bidding. *Note: You may have to copy and paste the links in your browser to view. Check out the Flickr PHOTO Account to see MANY photos of the car and of it at the local car show just days ago. All photos were taken today and yesterday so it's a VERY accurate account of the condition. Photos: -----> http://www.flickr.com/photos/65295849@N04/Also, I have recorded multiple videos of the car to show you just about everything I could think of to give you the most accurate description of the vehicle as possible.Intro Video of walk around with comments, video of it driving and running, video of alarm system and trunk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEqr0k1ZUssVideo of Extras and outakes that I forgot about when making the other videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cd3SYcIuEKYIn-Car Drive of 45-minute cruise cut to 10-minutes long. See how she handles and drives: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZ46tqJBWPQVideo of the little things that I wanted to point out and make sure all buyers are aware of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFQsqtw3nRAThe past 12+ years have been great. There are many newer items on the car like plugs, wires, caps, etc that I consider routine maintenance (ALWAYS driven with fresh oil) that I did not listed above and consider that every car enthusiast performs to their ride on a routine basis. Please feel free to write me with any questions. This has been my personal car for many years, so only serious interest and qualified bids please. No games, no excuses, no problems. My car will be sold as-is, where-is with no warranty implied. All sales final. Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. I will cooperate with the buyer as much as possible. I also reserve the right to end the auction at any time for any reason I choose. The cougar is available for viewing in Wisconsin and I always welcome inquires and questions prior to auctions close. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auction by PayPal. Balance payment due within 7 days of auction’s close by cash in hand, Bank certified check or money order. My Cougar (or the title) will not be released to the buyer until payment clears, so please clear payment before picking up the vehicle. Buyer needs to pick up the cougar within 14 days of auction end. At the end of the auction, phone communication between parties would be fine if the buyer requests it. Good luck and happy bidding - and may this car bring you all the joy I have had with it for so many years. * Note: I have "Vehicle Inspected" listed above as I brought it to my mechanic in town last week for a general look over before I listed it. Details in the videos, but he noted that one of the lower ball joints is starting to show some wear. Other than that - She's good to roll!
