This is the third generation Prelude that you have been looking for. It is a 1988 SI version with 4-wheel steering (4WS). Fully loaded and it all works, including the newly converted A/C! I purchased it from the second owner 2 years ago and have never regretted it for a moment. It starts, idles, runs, and drives beautifully. I have every single receipt for the last 12 years, literally over 100 in all. I have tons of literature on this vehicle including magazines, articles, tech tips and more. I have a 7-page Excel sheet from the previous owner showing nine years of fuel usage with an average of 25.8 mpg. It comes with 2 car covers (one custom cover for inside the garage and one generic cover for when it is outside in the elements), owners manual, shop manual, electrical trouble shooting manual, an extra fuel pump, an extra main relay, rear center light, passenger side rear taillight, 3 extra clocks (1 works, 2 are for parts), two remote keyless entry fobs and installation literature, Honda CD player manual, 3 valet keys, 2 master keys, the complete service history (with receipts) for the last 12 years, trickle charger, and custom front end cover (Bra). The timing belt has been replaced (twice), water pump, front axles,brakes (front & rear), clutch, release bearing, rear motor mount, rear main seal, OEM muffler with welded on chrome dual tips, and on and on (this is why I purchased it to begin with). A complete list of maintenance follows this ad and is included in a printed version. It has just over 10K on a set of Bridgestone tires! Since I've owned it I have added remote keyless entry (RKE),a trunk net, replaced the power antenna, replaced the head unit (stereo) with one from a 1997 Accord with a matching Honda trunk mounted 6-disk CD changer, had the A/C compressor and dryer replaced at the beginning of this summer and the system converted to R134a (ah, cold A/C during the heat wave). I replaced the fuel pump and the main relay (with an OEM relay from Honda). Turns out the pump was fine so I kept it for a spare (comes with car). No this car does not walk on water, nor is it a time capsule. As with most 23 year old cars, it has issues. The clear coat is starting to go, especially on the passenger side roof (pointed to in pix). Though it was a southern car for much of its life, it did develop rust. The previous owner and I myself have addressed several typical Honda rust spots (where you see me pointing in the pix is repaired rust spots). I think we did an excellent job, but others might not, which is why I encourage you to come see the car and drive it. I will need to see a valid (not an expired) driver's license before doing so. There is also a chunk out of the corner of the rubber on the sunroom (again, I'm pointing to this in the pix) This car is truly a find. It starts up and runs beautifully. The system adjusts itself down after a few moments to a nice steady idle. The clutch is newer as stated and the manual transmission is shifted nicely through its gears. Does not drip oil or any other fluid for that matter, but I have noticed a little splatter on the under side of the hood. I believe this is from the power steering pump, which was also replaced a few years back. If you have any guestions, contact me and I'll get back to you ASAP. Like you I am a fellow eBayer and have purchased several nice cars right here on eBay. I encourage you to come and look at the car (any car on eBay for that matter).
