1996 F-250 XLT, extended cab,long bed, 7.3L turbo diesel, automatic transmission, 4 wheel drive. truck has 320K miles on it. Dark red Metallic with Grey cloth interior. XLT truck, it has power windows and locks, cruise and tilt. Truck does move under its own power, but the transmission will NOT shift correctly. The Good: -strong running 7.3L turbo diesel, turbo makes full boost, new valve cover gaskets and glow plugs, new glow control relay. new mechanical lift/transfer pump installed. new hoses from fuel pump to fuel filter housing, recently serviced (new fuel filter and engine oil/filter change) engine starts easily and does NOT smoke. -running gear in great shape, dana 50 front axle and dana 60 rear axle, 3.54 gear ratio. borg warner manual transfer case shifts smoothly. new front Axle bearings and seals, new front brake rotors and brake pads. HD WARN manual locking hubs. new U-joints on front drive shaft and LF axle shaft. Both 4 wheel high and 4 wheel low work very well. - new headlights, new RF turn signal and RF head light bezel/trim. - new LF inside door release mechanism and door latch - Alloy wheels with LT285/75/16 tires (tires are worn) - Batteries about 2 yrs old (1000 cranking amps) The Bad: - E4OD transmission does NOT work, starts off in 2nd gear with shifter in manual 1st position. Transmission was recently rebuilt, about $1500 worth of hard parts in it, Trans Go shift kit, HD 6 pinion planet gears, aftermarket low stall Diesel torque converter, with billet steel cover. - Pick up bed has rust holes for bed liner previously installed. Bed is also bent/dented in serveral places. - Rear window is broken - Grey interior is VERY dirty and Drivers seat is worn. - Tilt Steering mechanism is loose or worn, steering wheel flops up and down about 1/4" - Parking brake cable is missing. This truck is being sold for Parts or to be Repaired. Truck is located in Blue Ridge Ga. it will NOT drive far under its own power... MUST BE TOWED
