1998 VW Beetle 2.0 manual transmission in great shape ready to drive-very dependable and great on gas 110,000 miles. Painted black last year. I purchased it about a year ago and have done the following: Struts replaced $300 Transmission serviced and fluid replaced with correct VW transmission fluid. $200 Shifter and linkage replaced $200 Coolant system drained and replaced with correct VW coolant. $200 Air Compressor installed $400 Battery $120 Pioneer stereo system with usb port installed: KBL speakers in the back and SONY in the front, MB QUART tweeters in dash, 1000watt Sony amp and 12" subwofer in back. Car sounds amazing! Car runs great and has never given me any major issues. The inside is in good shape with the seats being somewhat worn including a tear. All the gauges work, the windows, mirrors also all work. The seats may have been heated at one time but do not heat now. I would recommend seat covers. The center consoul and cup holder shows normal wear. The check engine and air bag light are always on. The check engine shows because of the after market air filter and the filter on the air pump- These beetles throw an engine light if you sneeze inside :) The car runs excellent despite this light on-it is so common in these cars but I try and list everything. Car has almost zero rust or body issues. Engine is clean and I will include an extra set of rear shocks and various minor parts I have collected that go with the car. I believe the car has been well taken care of with regular oil changes and service. I have taken excellent care of it. Car does not use or burn oil and transmission shifts like butter.
