Bought this early this spring, but its bigger than I needed. 1985 Ford F-250 V8 6.9L Diesel, 2 wheel drive. Automatic. Ready to drive off in. We call him Wilson. Clear title. Pictures are what they are ~ if you need more or better, just let me know. Wilson has had a lot of work put into him (professionally); we have all receipts; it runs great. New glow plugs, fuel pump, thermostat, starter motor replaced and steering column switch arm replaced, ignition switch pushing arm, cables, oil filter, tank selector valve, more. This has a block heater. All fluids have been changed. Its a work horse, dependable, pulls darn near anything. Bit of rust, mainly to bed, & freckle like spots on hood. No major issues to engine, tranny, etc. Tires in good shape. Radio is a joke; stations come in & out, & if you love static, it works fine. Air conditioner doesn't work. Slide rear window. Windshield wipers work but knob keeps coming off, blinkers work, but you have to hold down blinker arm. Decent inside condition; it has a full seat cover. Headliner is gone. Tail gate works, but it's sticky. Mileage reads 68066 DMV says thats accurate but I question that ~ I'm thinking it may be 168066? So, being an older classic, this has some creaks & groans, like my husband does when he gets out of bed in the morning. But like my husband, this old truck runs fine, is dependable, loyal, & a work horse. This is listed locally for sale or trade, so reserve the right to end this auction anytime. Located near Raleigh, N.C. on Kerr Lake, Henderson, N.C. Great place to vacation! Everything I've mentioned here is in good faith, but buyer must inspect. He's not perfect, but a real decent workhorse for this price! Feel free to ask questions, send a mechanic to inspect, etc. I'm in remission from a rare form of cancer ~ think Farrah Fawcett & you'll understand this cancer has been a pain in the butt ~ (NOT fishing for sympathy here ~ prayers appreciated but don't feel sorry for ME!); my nerves & muscles are damaged due to intensive treatment; Wilson is bigger than I can handle now. I have a smaller truck that suits my needs better. I haven't seen my gran'babies in over a year & when this truck sells, I'll have $$$ to be Colorado bound to see them, & aggravate my son & get on my daughter in laws nerves (she is the best D-i-L EVVVVEEERR). The "Explorer" trim line received a higher geared rear end, chrome bumpers, chrome fender well trim, and a chrome grill. The Explorer Line would later be dropped to introduce the Ford Explorer SUV in 1991. Explorer packages changed every year,and were only offered for a limited time each model year. This generation of Ford trucks are the latest to become popular restoration projects as most of these trucks are becoming emissions exempt in most states and now old enough to be registered as classics or antiques.
