Vehicle Detail

Just in time for Spring/Summer fun! Relisting due to high bidder not being able to complete the transaction so hopefully this time around will end in a sale. Very fair reserve. I fully expect this to sell. I do not have a buy it now price. Sorry. Additional photos can be found at photobucket. com, click on the dropdown arrow in the search tab and select search by "users", then type in my user name "guysnydr". This will bring up more pics. A couple pics of the underside show small dots, these are not rust spots, there is no rust underneith, they are water spots from spraying/washing and have since been cleaned/wiped off. I may add some more photos if I can. Up for bids is this gorgeous all-steel 350 Chevy powered / 4 Speed CJ7! If you are looking for a really nice Jeep that is basically turn-key and ready to go, here it is. I couldn't even guess how many hours went into the 2.5 year restoration. I have ALOT of money invested and NO corners were not cut as I built this Jeep for myself and my wife to enjoy. It is a real beauty and without question one of the finest CJ7's around - you will be hard pressed to find a nicer one or one with more attention to detail. I seldom go anywhere with it that it doesn’t get lookers/admirers and folks coming up wanting a closer look. Unlike many out there this one actually looks better the closer you get! SERIOUS bidders and inquiries only please. I got this Jeep about 5 years ago with the idea of building a nice Jeep for my wife. I couldn't believe I found such a low mile original and was very happy to find it. I began a detailed frame off 2.5 year restoration that was completed late 2009. It’s going to be impossible to list everything that’s been done so I will highlight as much as I can and we can talk or email if you need any additional information. There are also additional photos on my photobucket page. Just go to the photobucket website and type in guysnydr in the search box, then it will say results not found, "click here to view guysnydr's profile". Click there and it will take you to my photo page. There is probably a smoother way but this is how I do it. Please not some of the pics show it with the original straight six and also some of the underside pics have small dots in the picture showing, these are NOT rust, they are water marks from spraying/washing it and wipe right off. Just wanted to note that. This Jeep started out as a totally stock all original 45,000 mile (yeah, not kidding) 258 powered CJ7. When I got it, it was fresh off a farm where it had spent almost all its life. It belonged to a doctor, who was also a hobby farmer, he used it to get around the farm mainly and probably for quick trips to town. The miles are original and the Jeep was unbelievably original and unmolested - even had the original date coded plug wires still on it. The original tub was pretty solid inside but had some rust problems on the outside panels and was in need of some repair. I was going to fix it but then found a totally original rust free 89 YJ tub and converted it with all the original CJ hardware. Everything was done right and with care and detail and it would take a very trained eye to pick out any flaws in the conversion. Even the windshield squirter was properly converted to the CJ style! The tub was taken to bare metal (on the underside as well), this Jeep looks about as nice underneath as it does everywhere else! The exterior is painted in a gorgeous Tri-coat metalic called Red Jewel Tintcoat (a factory 2008+ GM color). The front fenders are new, the tailgate, windshield frame, grill, hood and doors are original from what I can tell and were rust free! There was no rust repair done on any of the body parts anywhere so there is no bondo anywhere, it's truly all steel! All the above body parts were painted individually (off the Jeep). It was assembled after the parts were painted, so everything was done right adding to the meticulous detail that went into this Jeep build! Stainless hardware pieces are all manufactured by Kentrol, except the outside mirrors which are Rugged Ridge. The Jeep comes with restored matching full hard doors and new seals, gaskets and new door panels. The Jeep will come with two tops; a new black Bestop Supertop with tinted windows and a very nice gray bikini top that I've only had on once. Interior is mostly stock CJ including original front seats (in very nice condition for the age). The back seat is a denim fold and tumble that came with the YJ Tub. I added the console for added (lockable) storage and it houses a Pioneer AM/FM/CD player. Front speakers are Pioneer and rears are Kenwoods. Frame and suspension were sandblasted and detailed. Anything that didn’t look or function perfectly was replaced. Frame is really cherry and is very solid – yes even in the rear corners where they are known for rot issues. Tires are BFG All Terrain T/A's with about 2,000 miles on them so are like new, rims are Cragar Nomad classic chrome wagon wheels that were bought new also. The Jeep is powered by a low mile 4-bolt main 350 Chevy small block crate motor with Edelbrock Performer manifold and carb. There’s loads of meticulous detail under the hood as you can see. Tranny is a rebuilt T-176 4 Speed, T-Case is a Dana 300, I had it apart, inspected everything and just put back together with new seals, it needed nothing. Axles have been upgraded to wide track for wider stance and better handling. Lift is approx 2.5” suspension lift. I am going to take a stab at listing some of the new items on this Jeep but there's way too much to think of or list. Engine/Drivetrain: New Novak SBC Conversion Motor Mounts Edelbroc 600CFM Performer carb New Chrome Air Cleaner New Belts & Hoses New Thermostat Stainless shorty headers Water Pump Fuel Pump Power Steering Pump Starter Alternator Plug Wires, Cap/Rotor Radiator (3 core) New Clutch/Pressure Plate/Throwout Bearing New Flywheel Completely rebuilt T176 Tansmission Body related: New Fenders New Marker Lights New complete door seals/gaskets New interior door panels, grab handles etc. New stainless Kentrol Door and Hood hinge kit New Bestop Supertop New Tuffy style console with Pioneer AM/FM/CD Stereo New shift knobs New Kentrol Stainless dash kit New Rugged Ridge Stainless Mirrors New Custom Renegade Metalic Silver Stripe Kit Chassis Suspension: New BFG All Terrain T/A’s (32x11.5xR15) (all 5) New Cragar Nomad 15x8 Chrome Wagon Wheels (all 5) New Gas tank and sending unit New Brake Master Cylinder New Gas tank skid plate New Dual Exhaust with Chrome Tips New Hi-Jacker shocks Stainless braided front brake lines New front and rear driveshaft universals New Urethane Energy Suspension body bushings New Emergency Brake cables New Brake Lines New Rear Brake Cylinders New Front Brake Calipers The Jeep comes with two tops, a black Bestop Supertop with tinted windows (that’s like brand new - only been on twice), also comes with a gray bikini top, I think that is Bestop too but not positive). Kenwood rear speakers housed in fitted wheel well boxes, Pioneer front speakers, Original Black bucket seats in great shape, denim cloth fold and tumble rear seat. Inside of tub is lined with bed liner material, was like this when I got it, I liked it so left it, It looks nice and is very durable. All gauges work as they should. I upgraded the roll bar to the newer slanted CJ style with shoulder belts (roll bar has gray pad on it but it is painted to match the exterior). Please note that the mileage on the Jeep at time of listing is 47,380, it will be close to this when you buy it but I may have it out a little between now and then. The pic in the listing is a pic of the odometer at time of restoration at 45,000, not a big deal but didn't want any confusion. Also, the Jeep has dual exhaust with chrome tips. One or two of the pics you may notice has single exhaust. When I added the V-8 last spring the single exhaust went with it and new duals were professionally installed. It has turbo mufflers and sounds really nice! Not sure what else I can say that the pictures don’t clearly show and explain. Seeing is believing – I would encourage you to come see it prior to the auction ending. It is ONE FINE JEEP. And one to be proud of. It drives and handles very nicely and has great power, I have yet to find a hill/mountain that I can't go up in 4th gear while maintaining highway speed! Pretty fun to drive!! I can’t think of anything that doesn’t work as it should. If you aren’t satisfied with this Jeep, there probably aren’t many you would be satisfied with (aside from one sitting in a museum, though this one is probably nicer than many of them too). A lot of these CJ's didn’t look this good when they were new. I’m quite proud of her and have really enjoyed the many compliments every time we take it out. It is a real head turner and is as solid as they come. Plus you will own one of the few ALL STEEL examples out there (nothing against fiberglass bodies, but they are much more common and easier to find), it’s great to know you have one of the few completely rust free all steel examples left out there!! I would consider a trade plus cash for a nice Jeep Wrangler TJ of the $8-$12K value range. Would have to be a very nice reasonable to lower mile clean TJ, no other vehicles or trades being considered, sorry. Disclaimer: I pride myself in providing accurate descriptions and my feedback is 100% so bid with confidence! That being said (I shouldn’t have to say any of this but I want to be clear) - this IS a 30+ year old vehicle. It is not a new vehicle in any way. It is a very nice clean example of a classic Jeep that is in overall well above average and in excellent condition. There are no dents or scratches anywhere and the paint is smooth and body is straight. It has not been off road since restoration and won't be as long as I own it. If you are looking for a new Jeep this is probably not the one for you. I am not a dealer so the vehicle does not come with any kind of warranty, expressed or implied. I am 40 years old so this Jeep is adult owned and was adult built and enjoyed. I have built and restored several vehicles and this one is the finest yet. I pay a lot of attention to detail which is quite obvious throughout this Jeep. All that being said, this is not to be confused with a concours trailer queen, there may be some minor signs of normal wear here and there indicative of a vehicle that can be and is driven and enjoyed. It is not and has not been driven in bad weather, just on sunny spring/summer/fall days. The restoration is still fresh looking however it has been driven approx 2,500 miles during the past two summers. It is stored in my garage in the winter and whenever it’s not being driven. It would likely win a lot of shows (I’ve never entered it in one but have been encourage to by lots of folks) and would be looked upon by other Jeep enthusiast with a lot of respect! Shipping: I have no experience whatsoever with shipping vehicles so I STONGLY encourage local pickup. Plus I want you to see it and drive it so I know you are satisfied. That being said if it has to be shipped I will help you with whatever I can but you will be responsible for organizing any details and making payment for that part directly to the shipper of your choice. Please don’t contact me asking for a shipping quote as I wouldn’t even know where to start. I know you can search the internet and find respectible shipping companies that specialize in shipping vehicles and are very affordable from what I hear, but I will leave that up to you. Please also don’t contact me if you are asking if you can send me a check that would have extra in it where I would pay for the shipping then send the Jeep off to you. These kind of things are scams and won’t be responded to. I will need cash upon pickup, or a certified bank check. I will not accept paypal for this transaction but will require a NON-REFUNDABLE $500 deposit within 48 hours of the auction close. Please bring cash when you come or a certified cashiers/bank check. I have clear title in hand ready to sign/transfer. ANY check will have to 100% clear at my bank before I will release the vehicle or title. I am sure you can understand why. If you want a smooth and quick transfer please bring CASH. Jeep must be picked up within 2 weeks and payment in full within two weeks. If you need more time to pick it up please contact me so we can discuss something mutually agreeable. Thanks for looking. On Jul-12-11 at 08:42:09 PDT, seller added the following information: A side note. The reason the previous high bidder was not able to complete the transaction with me had nothing to do with the Jeep. He tried to retact his bid due to circumstances and was not able to do so in time before the auction ended. The sale never went any further.
