i have a 1962 triumph tr4, its registered as a 1963 because that was the year it was actually bought but it was made in 1962. The car had been rebuilt by the previous owner who had owned it for 19 years. I purchased the car because only because i liked it too much to not buy it but the reality is there is limited garage space at my home and i refuse to let it sit out side. The previous owner said it had only been in the rain twice and i have not taken it out of my garage except for 3 or 4 sunny days. The engine had been rebuilt and runs like champ, it drives great and is a blast to drive with the top down. While the car looks great there are some minor imperfections to it, the seats are from a tr4a, way back when some one chose to put in seats with more padding and they have some tares, the top is also from a tr4a, this makes the top alot easier to remove. The top has a small rip in it which is shown in my pictures. The paint looks great but there are a few tinny chips in it from just being driven along with on dent on the left front fender that could easily be removed. I would not say this is a show car but more just a very unique summer convertible. Its a 50 year old classic british car in fantastic shape for its age. I am in no rush to get rid of it, you only find a car like this once or twice in a life time. If i were to rate the shape of this car i would say its a 7-8 out of 10. If it were a 10 out of 10 it would be selling for 16-18 thousand but i am starting my auction at 7,000 and placing a buy it now option for 10,000.
