1989 HONDA PRELUDE Si 4 WHEEL STEERING Up for auction the Honda Prelude pictured. This is the highly desirable Si model with four wheel steering. That's right, all four wheels turn when negotiating a corner providing excellent handling. The Si Prelude is powered by a fuel-injected 2.0l engine mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. Options include cruise control, air conditioning, power sunroof, power mirrors, power windows, tilt steering, flip-up headlights and more. It is equipped with an after market stereo system. This Honda has just turned over 100k miles, so it should have quite a bit of life remaining if maintained properly. It starts easy, idles smoothly, runs and drives great and stops like it should. Lights, blinkers and gauges work. Rubber is good. Interior is exceptional. Paint is shiney. No leaking fluids were noted. Complete with spare and jack. The cruise control works great. All power windows, mirrors and sunroof work great. Tilt works. Radio works but the antenna is missing. Wipers and washer work. As seen in the pics, the car has some rust and a scuff mark on the passenger rear corner. The underbody of the car has been undercoated and is exceptionally clean. The car has no major dents. All the glass is great with the exception of the sunroof which has a hairline crack but it does not affect its operation. The muffler should be replaced since it has a hole in it. The AC blows hot, so it needs servicing. No idiot or warning lights are on and the operating temp is right where it should be. No strange noises or sounds come from the engine or transmission. This car is ready to be driven right now. I would feel comfortable taking it on a long trip. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: By bidding on the vehicle, you are agreeing to the following terms. Elkhorn is about a 45 minute drive from Milwaukee, 90 minutes from the Chicago burbs and 75 minutes from Madison. The nearest major airport is Milwaukee (MKE). The exhaust is noisiest when taking off from a stop, but mellows when cruising. A muffler will cost between 30-60 if you're a good shopper. The emergency brake lever works, but is not engaging fully so I keep it in gear when parked. The AC worked last summer, so I assume a freon charge might be in order. There are no unusual noises when turning on the air. The Prelude give a very solid ride, even over bumps the ride is smooth. Good luck bidding!
