Vehicle Detail
I purchased this Goldwing several years ago as a project bike and it's now time to sell it. I have gone through the bike quite extensively and added the touring luggage and windshield as seen in the photos. It has proven very reliable for me and I do take it on road trips when I can, the most recent one being from NH to Albany, NY. I am only selling it because I now own another GL which is taking up most of my time. I really don't want to just let this one sit around. Important: The mileage listed is an estimate! The odometer stopped working a few years ago at 32K. This being my third set of tires since (figuring on about 10k per set) a safe estimate is about 65K miles. Also, the vehicle is from 1977 and does NOT have a title. It IS currently registered in the state of NH. Condition: The bike runs great! I completely rebuilt the carburetors and plenum this year with a very high quality kit. I also made some subtle changes recommended for this year and the bike has never run better. The bike has always been well maintained. Below are some features. Dyna S ignition w/ Dyna coils.Bridgestone S11 tires are about 40-50%Timing belts done Spring '09, will probably be due next Spring if you want to play it safe(!)New EBC Organic rear pads this year, fronts are 40-50%Fork seals done 2010New Battery this yearJardine exhaust sounds great! Some pitting in chrome.Detachable kick start pedal - the last year they were made on the GL. Known issues: Tach cable brokenRight hand control starter button was "replaced". The present button works, but a backup toggle switch has been wired in to control the headlight and starter if needed. It worked so well I never bothered to buy a new hand control. Cosmetically the bike is OK. Some of the chrome is a bit rust pitted and the aluminum could use some polish. The red paint is also original and a bit faded. So there it is. I really don't want to sell it but it's better than letting the bike sit around. $200 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction end with the remainder due within 10 of auction end. This bike is sold AS-IS. Please feel free to ask any questions prior to bidding and study the photos carefully. I am located in NH and would prefer the bike be picked up locally. If you would like it shipped please make the arrangements yourself and I will do what I can to accommodate them. The bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction anytime.
