1997 Toyota Rav4 177,000 miles. All Wheel Drive. 4 cyl. Automatic. PL, PW, Cruise Control, AM/FM Cassette. Still runs like a Swiss watch, quiet and smooth. Handles nice and is fun to drive. Tires are like brand new yet, they were replaced about 3000 miles ago. It looks great for it's age. The exterior has a few minor dings and blemishes. There is a small amount of surface rust on the wheels and bottom inside of a couple of the doors, but no rot or rust through. The interior is in nice shape, with the exception of a small hole in the backrest of the driver's seat. The only 2 issues I'm aware of are #1) I don't believe the AC is working. Not sure if it's just low on gas or it's the compressor or a switch. #2) The filler tube/hose and clamps on the gas tank need to be replaced. When filling it with gas, it sometimes leaks a little. It doesn't leak once you stop filling. I parked it one spot for a week and did not see one drop on the ground, so I believe the tank itself is fine. Just had it recently inspected. Had all filters and fluids changed in the Spring and a new battery installed. This would make a great 1st vehicle or "winter beater". Without a working AC, the Kelly Blue Book lists the value at a low of $3500 to a high of about $4500. Starting bid is over a grand less than it's minimum market value.
