Vehicle Detail
Don't pay $9,000- $12,000 at a dealership for an inferrior vehicle Thanks for looking at our 2004 Ford Explorer XLT. We are the original owners and it has been very well maintained. It has the the powerful 4.6 L V8 along with a 5 speed automatic transmission and push button 4 wheel drive. It has leather medium parchment (tan) interrior with power driver seat and black exterior which looks very sharp. It has a power moonroof, factory option running boards, trailer tow package, 6 disc in dash cd player and the personal security package which includes a 7 air bag safety canopy and reverse sensing system. The original MSRP sticker price not including destination and delivery was $36,265. The interrior is in very good to excellent condition, there are no rips or tears and the orignal floor mats show minimal wear. All gauges and features work as they should. Everything from the factory jack, spare tire (which has never been used) and trailer electrical plug are included along with the original manual with 2 sets of keys that include the remote fobs. One of my favorite features is the keyless entry keypad along the drivers door handle allows you to simply enter a 5 digit code and you will never be locked out again. You can lock all doors as well. My wife loves the power moonroof. The exterrior is rust free but it does have its normal imperfections but nothing that is noticeable from more than 5 feet away or does it affect the reliability. Truthfullty there are a few scratches and minor dings but nothing that has compromised the paint (no rust or peeling) and there is a small crease along the bottom of the right front fender that runs parallel to the top of bumper. I tried to take pictures but you cannot see it unless the sun or light is at the perfect angle. The rear hatch has a crack in it from normal use (which come to find out is more than common on these vehicles and my understanding is Ford may have to recall and fix theses per the dealership). I have always used Ford Motorcraft synthetic blend motor oil from day one and that is no exageration. I recently did the front and rear brakes and the driver side wheel bearing. Other than that this vehicle has never had any problems. I would encourage you to do an AutoCheck (which is more informational and accurate than carfax) which will verify there hasn't been any accidents or major repairs. The vehicle currently has 146,XXX miles, I drive 74 miles round trip (72.5 on Highway 494) to work and home before any appointments, hockey or little league. We bought a new vehicle so it is time to go. Thanks for your time and good luck if you choose to bid. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
