1971 honda cl450 cafe racer.CLEAR TITLE...rebuilt inside and out.. I purchased this from Adam Cramer at Liberty Vintage in Philadelphia. He is one of the top cafe racers around. This is all he does. Bought the bike, had fun with it, and just found out the wife is pregnant. So.... She says the bike must go. Bike is amazing.. People literally stop what they are doing and stare as you go down the street with their jaws dropped open. Took it to a bike shop and people circled around it. It's the perfect mix of everything. Bike could use a little bit of a carb cleaning. When I shipped it, some minor dirt probably got in the jets so it needs to be warmed up for a few before riding. Could just be that it's a 40 year old bike. Once warmed up, the bike screams, exhaust note is beautiful, deep and rich sound. Here is Adams description of what he did to the bike when I bought it a few months ago: Motor. : valves lapped - new rings - head gasket -all new gaskets- sludge trap and oil pump serviced CARBS : total teardown - ultra sonic / hot tanked 6 hrs - new oem honda kits- balanced & tuned Electrics : new battery, . electric start works great - needs right turn signal bulb. charging system serviced and tested great Body : great custom tank seat set, with great paint & graphics (graphics easily removable - some small scuffs in paint),. stainless bars Exhaust: custom 2 into 1 low pipe black w/wrap The list goes on and on. we basically tore her down and cleaned the heck out of it..set it all up & went over everything..you can buy all you want and put all the right stuff together and still not get it right.This one we got right!! this bike started as a clean stock cl450 and from the start everything went smooth..it all fell into the right places...the motor responded well to service,,and the carbs shine like diamonds..using carb oring kits from HONDA make all the diffrence..the bike starts easily from cold and warms to a confidence inspiring idle..it revs smooothly through the gears and the clutch has a light but means business action.i left the stock levers alone as they still have the rubber ends on them,,,that indicated easy life before me....Has kick & electric start and a new battery. Ive seen far less a bike go for more,but not many are this clean....the horn cover has a crack,,but its hard to see.. The right fork boot also has a crack..there are minor scuffs and a small pencil point chip thats been touched up.This bike was put together with knowledge and care.Do you want a bike from some guy who has built just this one bike???
