Hello, Let me start by saying I have had, and still have collector and antique cars, some pro restorations, some original cars, but none as original and nice driving as this car is, its a true time capsule! Best driving older car I have ever owned. This one is from New York and has just 38,000 real miles, It was sold new out of mineola ny at frame chevrolet, the 1st owner kept it in the garage and drove it until 1990 then sold it, where it stayed in the new york area until around 2005 the 2nd owner moved to wisconsin and I bought it from him in 2008,and brought it to the detroit area.I have some receipts dating back to 1964 gas,fan belt, misc, that were found just under the seat! original license plate still on the front of the car, 2 sets of original keys still on the 1964 dealer key chain, original owners manual, dealer tag on the trunk! The car came optioned as follows, Impala 2 door sport coupe, silver blue paint, blue interior,283 v8, powerglide automatic,padded dash,power steering, power brakes,rear deck antennea,white wall tires,day night mirror, 2 speed wiper with washers,drivers door mirror,am push button radio. Condition The car was garaged, and you can really tell, chrome and stainless are very nice,all rubber weatherstiping on the car is very nice, not brittle or cracked no leaks, paint is mostly original I would say about 70% still on the car, some checking mostly on the trunk lid and top of rear quaters where the sun would hit the back while in the garage, front, sides, and top are smooth and shiny no real fading. car has 2 nickel size rust spots on it period, 1 on each front fender anyone that know 64 chevys know they all rust here from washing the water sits behind the fender and they rot there,the original owner had the spots touched up in sliver blue paint but not fixed,I had 2 restoration shops quote me between 250-300 dollers to weld in a square and reshoot the blue not a big deal, the flanges at the bottom below the hole are perfect on both sides NO RUST ON THE CAR, FLOORS,TRUNK FLOOR,QUARTERS,DOORS,WINDOW AREAS, TRUNK LID, HOOD, CORE SUPPORT FRAME ECT... 100% RUST FREE The impala has 3 dents and a ding in the body all from coming in and out of the garage I was told the first owner was getting old and have trouble parking, 1 is at the front of the driver fender not real noticeable,1 in driver side under fuel door that one is noticable,1 in passenger back corner bent the trim up not real noticable, ding in passinger fender dime size could be poped out from the back side.Again almost 50 years old, has chips that have been touched up ect.. But much less than you should expect from a car of this age with orignal paint. The interior is 100% original including carpet ,seats, dash pad ect.. Totally untouched when I got it, I cleaned it up and replaced the arm rest pads and arm rest bases and the coat hooks, I would,rate it a 8.5 to 9 out of 10 unreal how nice it is no rips, tears, or wear beautiful interior needs nothing. The chevy starts,stops and runs perfect, everything works on the car including all lights, heater,horn,turn signals, radio (clear as a bell original speaker sounds perfect) glove box light,trunk light, dome lights, everything but the clock and gas gauge, sending unit sticks sometimes, some days it will work some days not, I would say needs a sending unit but other than that everything works like new, all switches nice and tight like a new car New Parts I have replaced some things do to the car setting so much over the years COMPLETE MALLORY TUNE-UP MALLORY CAP, ROTOR,POINTS,CONDENSER,COIL WIRES AND PLUGS 327-300 GM INTAKE MANIFOLD DATE CODE APRIL 6 NEW EDELBROCK CARB WITH ELECTRIC CHOKE NEW ALUMINUM RADIATOR WITH NEW THERMOSTAT,AND CAP, PLUS ALL NEW HOSES NEW WATER PUMP AND BLOCK FLUSHED ALL NEW BELTS NEW TIRES NEW BRAKES WITH NEW MASTER CYLINDER NEW STOCK DUAL EXHAUST FROM FRONT TO BACK ORIGINAL CORVETTE ALUMINUM VALVE COVERS FROM THE 60'S NOT REPOPS MOON HALF SWEEP CHROME CASE COLUMN MOUNTED TACH WITH ADJUSTIBLE RED LINE SUSPENTION ALL REGREASED ALL NEW FLUIDS AND FILTERS 64 SUPER SPORT WHEEL COVERS PLUS A TON OF OF LITTLE THINGS TO MANY TO MENTION (MY NUMBER WILL BE LISTED AT THE BOTTOM) CAR NEEDS NOTHING TO DRIVE AND ENJOY Overall the thought was if I had to replace somethings due to age I would keep them period correct as I could, and it came out really cool , sort of like if a kid got this in 65 or 66 what would he do, corvette small block tach ss covers ...came out neat always draws a crowd. A great chance to own a very desirable piece of chevrolet history and not break the bank, have to see it to believe it THERE ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE!! Good luck 734-578-5125 JEFF
