This is a fun project truck that was purchased from an ASE Master Tech. He started the project 3 years ago but new adventures came along to cut the project short of finishing. This a 1979 Chevy 1/2 ton short bed pickup that has been lowered and looks & sits right. Drives great! It was originally from Arkansas before coming to Iowa. It has the typical rusty cab corners and rocker panels. Their is a rust hole in the floor on drivers side that can be seen in picture, Their is some rust in the box sides which I have tried to take pictures of the bad spots. Enough of the bad, now for the good. Their has been a lot of money and time invested especially in the last 9 months. Since then the truck has been driven less than 500 miles. New parts include: Upper & Lower ball joints,tie rods,bearings & seals,brakes all the way around,premium rotors,calipers & pads,brake hoses & lines, C3 corvette master cylinder,Summit brake proportioning valve,Monroe Sensa-Trac shocks, Dual Electric fans,Custom built driveshaft with new U-joints. A used 1996 Trans Am/Camaro rear end with 3.23 gears and Auburn Posi with new seals. The transmission is a 700R4 rebuilt out of a 1990's vintage chevy. The engine was originally a 305 but previous owner was not sure if someone rebuilt it or a 350 some time ago with a mild cam. Also has an Edelbrock intake and carburetor. Ignition is an Accell HEI with 8MM wires. Included but not installed is a good used hood to replace bent one on truck, a new left front fender and new right door. Also a good used front bumper. The truck had a complete Front End Alignment last Fall before being stored for the winter. Sure I am forgetting some other goodies but you get the picture.
