Vehicle Detail
1967 Honda CA77 Dream (305cc) The Basics This motorcycle was bought at an estate sale in 2007. The bike came with documentation back to 1991, when it was bought by the last owner. It has been garage kept, and inspection receipts prove that less than 1000 miles have been put on it in the last 20 years. Everything on the Dream functions, from the speedometer to the lights. It is a reliable, comfortable cruiser with a clean history. I had some of the panels repainted, as the original paint was chipping with age. I also had a hole patched on the left muffler (this is hidden, and can only be seen when the muffler is removed). Everything else on the bike is original. There are still some minor cosmetic blemishes, such as rust on the exhaust system and small paint chips on the gas tank. There are no mechanical problems though. This bike is very reliable. The bike has many rare factory and aftermarket extras equipped, such as a side kick-stand (in addition to center stand), a heel-toe shift pedal, turn-signals, a rear luggage rack, a crash-guard, and an optional removable windscreen. Model History This is an original 1960's touring motorcycle from Honda, and it is one of the first real examples of large Japanese motorcycles in the United States. This particular motorcycle features a unique pressed-steel frame with an engine that mounts as a stressed member of the frame. This makes it light, fast, and maneuverable. Technical specifications: Engine: 305cc 24hp OHC wet sump parallel twin with a single carburetor Transmission: 8.3:1 ratio 4 speed constant mesh gear transmission Battery: 12V 11amp Dry Weight: 337 lbs. Top Speed: 87 mph The official stuff Bike will be sold as-is with service records, digital manuals, and trickle charger. Title will be surrendered once full payment is received and verified. Buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for all shipping charges. I am willing to help schedule local pickup for anyone in the Denver area. Bike is listed locally. As such, I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time. Feel free to contact me with any questions. On Jul-03-11 at 17:28:02 PDT, seller added the following information: Pictures with the windscreen below. The entire windscreen and mounts can be removed easily. Video of the bike idling On Jul-07-11 at 11:21:50 PDT, seller added the following information: I've gotten several questions about the starter. Yes, this has a kick-start and an electric start. Both of them work beautifully. There are no issues. The bike will start up cold with an open choke, the electric starter, and fluttering of the throttle. The kick-start works too, but typically the bike has to be warmed up for this.
