This '64 Thunderbird is a true head turner – I am only the 3rd owner. I bought the car 2 years ago from someone who had owned it since the 80's and worked on cars professionally. Even the original fuel logs from the 60s are in the center arm rest compartment. I had it inspected by a mechanic when I initially purchased the car, and recently had the carbonator cleaned out & was inspected again. As the car stands right now, there is not a whole lot that needs to be done to it. Here's everything I can tell you about the car: • Took 1st place in its category in 2008 Car Show (Trophy included with car) • There are NO DENTS in this car at all – body is perfect • NO RUST • Tilt Away Steering Wheel • No problems with the electrical system or engine - All power windows, windshield wipers and controls work • New Whitewall Tires • Original 390 Cubic Inch V-8 Engine with just over 92,000 miles • Power Steering & Power Windows • AM / FM Radio • Automatic Transmission • The Landau Top has been expertly restored • The original lap-belts were removed (Due to the era of the car, it passes state inspections without seat belts) • The paint looks beautiful and shows no blemishes – however, the creme color is NOT the original color of the car. It was originally a light blue. Also the interior was changed from Blue to Tan. The paint job & interior treatment were done quite well & you would be hard pressed to tell that the color is not original. • I had owned the car for almost a year when I realized that the wood paneling on the inside of the doors had been replaced with wood printed adhesive vinyl.
