For sale is a 2001 Jetta TDI. It has a gloss black exterior and a black leather interior. The drivers seat is powered. It has an 8 disc cd changer in the trunk that is controlled from the radio. It has the legendary 1.9 liter 4 cylinder diesel engine that has lots of torque and gets 45-50 mpg. I'm the second owner of the car and the original owner was extremely careful to do all maintenance right! He had timing belts and large maintenance items done by one of the top TDI gurus in the USA. The interior of the car is in perfect condition. The leather is Very nice all around with the exception of a tiny tear on the side/bottom of the drivers seat. The drivers seat is powered and both seats have lumbar control. Floor mats are all very nice except for the drivers mat has a wear spot where the right foot rests. There is a leather cover over the steering wheel. The trunk is super clean and the spare tire stuff is untouched. The exterior of the car is in good condition. The paint is very nice in the front (no rock chips) but there are light scratches by the door handles and the truncklid/top of the rear bumper has scuffs and light scratches. There are no deep scratches or dings. The engine in the car is the thing of beauty! It was professionally maintained by more knowledgeable people than the dealers. It had its second 100k timing belt put on around 160k. It was changed every 80k miles. Synthetic oil was used. Brake fluid and other things were flushed on schedule. The engine runs strong.....the turbo boosts nicely. It should be good to go for another 200k miles! The transmission is automatic and was just replaced with a good used one that has 35k miles on it. The transmission was flushed. It drives real nice.The wheels are aluminum 15" sport wheels off of a 2004 Jetta. The tread is about 60% or so. Brakes are good for a while. It has complete Koni coilovers on it. They are known to be some of the best. Ride height is the same and it is just a little stiffer. It handles wonderfully.
