This Suburban is currently registered in California and the registration is good until Dec. of 2011. This Very Cool Old-School Suburban Runs & Drives Great and it is Clean & Solid inside & out! The 327ci. SBC V-8 Engine Runs Strong and the TH350 3spd. Automatic Transmission Shifts Smooth. The pictures seen here are current and show the exact condition that this 1966 Chevy is in as of today. Be sure to add this "No Reserve" Auction to your ebay Watch List, You do not want to miss this one. _________________________________________________________________________________________ 1966 CHEVROLET CUSTOM 1500 4x2 SWB SUBURBAN This is a Rare-1966 Chevrolet CUSTOM SWB Suburban with a Rear Clam Shell Door & Tail Gate. When was the last time that you seen one of these at a drive in or show, let alone with these options? This Suburban is in great running and driving condition. It is very dependable, comfortable and ready to be driven or cruised the same day you take possession without any mechanical concerns or worries. The SBC 327ci. V-8 Engine run's excellent! The engine and the cylinder heads were completely & professionally rebuilt aprox. 1000 miles ago. It has factory Power Steering & Power Brakes. The truck had a/c but is inop at this time. The ignition has been upgraded to an HEI Electronic System. The Engine and the Engine Bay Compartment are both clean & tidy and they look very nice. It has a Rochester 4bbl. Carburetor with the Original GM 4bbl. Intake, Original GM Camel Hump or Double Hump Cylinder Heads, Has the Original GM Cast Iron-Center Dump Exhaust Manifolds with a True Duel Exhaust System that sounds very nice. It has a 3spd. TH350 Automatic Transmission with a Standard on the Column Shifter. All of the fluids are clean and full and there are no oil leaks present. The suspension is nice & tight and in great condition. This Suburban drives, steers and rides very nice. The brakes are in great condition and they stop with ease. Even the emergency brake is in proper working condition. It drives straight down the road and the steering wheel is centered and true. The body is amazingly very solid for the age and all of the body panels appear to be original to the truck with out having any visible sign of rust or rot. This Southern California 1966 Chevy Suburban is a true survivor. The floors pans are nice & solid. The undercarriage is clean and has been detailed nicely. This 1966 Suburban is rolling on a set of 8" GM Rally Wheels with Dog Dish Style Center Caps. The wheels and caps are clean and in very nice condition. It has a full set of 4-Like New, 255/60R15" BF Goodrich Radial TA Tires. All of the lights and lenses are like new and in great condition. It also has a new pair of HID Headlights. All of the glass and windows are in great condition and there are no cracks, breaks or chips present. The side and rear windows are tinted and the window gaskets and door seals have been replaced with new. The chrome and the stainless trim are original to the truck and thay are in good condition for the age. The paint is about 10yrs. old and is in what I would consider to be good or driver quality condition. The paint shines nice but upon close inspection there are several nicks, chips and imperfections present. The interior is nice & clean and it looks very nice inside. The seats are very comfortable and in great condition. The drivers seat is power with lumbar support and all 4 of the seats will fully recline. It has new carpet that is correct from front to back and it looks and fits very nice. It also has a Wooden GRANT Steering Wheel. All of the gauges on the dash are in good working order. The dash is original and has never been cut out or hacked up in order to install an aftermarket stereo. There is currently no radio installed at this time. The lights, blinkers and the wipers are in good working order. Spare tire & wheel are included. There are a few minor things that could use attention. The drivers side arm rest is missing, the interior dome light is also missing and the horn needs to be wired back up. For these reason's, I will be selling this vehicle to be a complete, running and driving vehicle. This 1966 Chevy Suburban is in great running and driving condition. Perfect to drive or show as is or it would be a perfect candidate to do a full restoration to or turn it into a trailer queen later on down the road if you should wish.
