Jaguar was very proud of its new Grand Tourer that was to replace the XJS. Straight off the race track, the XK8 introduced an all aluminum monocoque bodyshell coupled with an Aston Martin DB7 Chassis/Platform (Ford owned both Jaguar and Aston at the time). The styling truly screamed "Jaguar!", and was well received by die hard Jaguar Enthusiast. This body style was produced from 1996-2006 with many improvements along the way. With this 2006 XK8 being the last run of production before the replacement XK (they dropped the "8") came along, It’s safe to say, it represents the best of this series. Doing the research on this 2006 XK8 Convertible Carbon Fiber Edition, I learned that only 200 were built between 2005 and 2006. Doing some conventional quick math, that’s 100 per year, 4 different Exterior/Interior packages, so that tells me there was roughly 25 2006 XK8's with this particular color scheme. I could be wrong? None the less, it’s a very limited production vehicle. We know this vehicle very well. When it came off the boat, it was transported here by truck to Nalley Jaguar in Roswell Ga. This limited Carbon Fiber Edition was pre-ordered and sold to one of our long term loyal customers. This customer has been a Jaguar Enthusiast for years, involved in the club, and has owned many Jaguars in his life time. If you review the CarFax, you'll see that every scheduled preventive maintenance was performed here and on time. Look close at the photos. We didn't have to do any touch up work to the bumpers, windshield, or interior to present it for sale. As a matter of fact, we didn't even detail it, we just rolled it straight onto the showroom floor. Its condition speaks volumes for the life its lived with the previous owner. This car was a prized possession and it shows. There is no disappointments. Lets get down to what the car is worth. Nada shows a retail value of right at 32,000.00. Once again if you review the CarFax by simply clicking on the CarFax ICON just under the main photo at the top of the page, you'll notice that the folks at CarFax states, based on the information connected to the vehicle, the car is worth an additional 1000.00 over retail. If a computer program is saying its worth an additional 1000.00 based just off service records, mileage, ownership, location, and no accidents? We have a special vehicle here, because we're not even taking into consideration the exclusiveness of the limited production Carbon Fiber Edition or the over all exceptional condition of the vehicle. So what’s that worth? I believe an asking price of 35,000.00 is not out of line at all.
