YOU WILL NOT FIND A NICER ORIGINAL VOLVO 240 ANYWHERE! The Good Nearly pristine classic low mileage 240 manual diesel Volvo wagon. Mechanically & cosmetically all original and in excellent condition. Only 126,000 miles on a 27 year old car. It would be hard to find any 240 volvo with that low of mileage. Front and Rear brake pads replaced December 2010 (approximately 2500 miles ago) Both glow plug relays also replaced December 2010 Brand new battery installed April 2011. Interior is in immaculate condition for a 27 year old car. All power windows and locks work with no problems at all. Cruise control works. Starts everytime. It was my daily driver all winter and started everyday. Perfect candidate for a vegetable oil conversion. The Bad It is hard to say anything bad about the car. It is a 1984 diesel which means it's not the fastest or cleanest running car. Also, the dash clock does not work and the AC does not blow as cold as I'd like. The Ugly There is a patch of rust about the size of a large bottle cap behind the drivers side back wheel. (There are two photos) The paint on top of the lift gate is beginning to pit and rust (Very superficial) The headrests have a few cracks which have not spread since I've owned it. The driver's side door pocket is cracked. Included with the car is a cover that goes over the original. If it's so great why am I selling it? I bought the car in October of 2010 with every intention of converting it to run on used veggie oil but soon realized that I do not have the time to refine the oil nor the mechanical inclination to convert the car to run on filtered oil. It's just sitting in my driveway so it's time to sell it to someone who will appreciate it and has the ability to do what I didn't. A final word. I did use it as my daily driver from November 2010 to March 2011 and was not only impressed with it starting on the coldest of mornings (>10 Degrees Fahernheit) but also at how well it did on the highway. It cruised at 75 MPH with no problems at all. I have a 60 mile daily commute and had no problems. You will be amazed at the condition of the interior and exterior. The clear coat is still in great shape. On Jun-30-11 at 06:46:30 PDT, seller added the following information: I realized I left out one detail. Under "The Ugly" I should have listed that the tailpipe that was attached to the muffler is gone. It does NOT affect the car in anyway.
