If you are looking for a show stopping, head turning Rat, this is it. It is done in a World War II Bomber motif. It has everything from trunk nose art to a B-17 yoke steering wheel. At the Lone Star Round Up in Austin many people said that if you can draw a crowd you have done something. This car drew a crowd! The car sits 3" off the ground (no bags) and is 44" tall. It is chopped 7" and channeled 3". It has a 1953 Flathead that was rebuilt 3 years ago and has about 250 miles on it. It has an Offenhauser intake with three Stromberg 97s on top and just runs on one. The exhaust pipes are original Browning 1919 machine gun shrouds. They have been ceramic coated. The electrical system has been converted to a 12 volt system. It has an electric fuel pump and fan; all controlled from the dash switches. It has oil, volt and temp gauges on the dash. 1953 ford steering column with a Vega steering box.The top has a new wood frame kit and has a removable canvas top made from Vietnam era tents. The interior is also covered with tent canvas. The interior roof is covered with Vargas calendar girl pinups and original World War II bomber photos. It has new bomber seats and old aircraft seatbelts. It also has a World War II airspeed gauge and compass. The frame is 2" x 3 " steel with original front and rear suspension. It has new front disc brakes and a 2002 Ford Ranger rear end. The clutch and brakes are a wilwood assembly. The taillights are 1959 Caddy and the headlights are 1946 Chevy buckets. New shorty radiator. It has 1930 original plates for front and rear. It has a lot more. I am moving on to other car projects. Car comes with its own shirt. This car is solid.
